Dog In Need of Home or Rescue/Foster-

Meet Rexx. Last night he was found outside my apartment. We took him to the emergency vet to scan his chip and they were able to get ahold of the owner who said he let the dog go and doesn’t want him back.

Not sure on age but let me tell you, this dog is so sweet and smart! Walks well on leash, good with other dogs, major cuddle bug, really wants to please you.

Meet our newest walker, Monkey!

We spent our first walk working on walking nicely on a leash and keeping his attention on me, even when all his BFF’s were close by. My training style is very laid back and fun for both myself and the dogs, I make everything into a game which keeps them engaged. I was very pleased with how well he did!

Atticus ❤️ He is one of my reactive walkers.

What that means is he lacks confidence and has had some bad experiences while encountering other people and dogs in the past, so now he sometimes barks and lunges on leash. This doesn’t mean he’s a bad dog, he just needs a little help so we use our walks to play games and practice skills. In the past couple months he has gained so much confidence and reactions are less and less.

Absolutely love walking him and seeing his progress, such a sweet boy!

These two are tiny!!! But no matter the size, leash manners are always an important skill for dogs and their owners to learn. These cuties, Gus and Abigail, have only walked with me a few times and we’ve seen so much progress! Here they are demonstrating a fantastic sit & stay while we watch people and dogs coming and going from the elevators.

Spending the morning renewing my pet first aid certification! This is something I do yearly to refresh my skills. It’s not about IF you will ever use these skills, it’s about WHEN you will use them. You never know when something like this will come in handy and all dog walks and pet sitters should be certified but also helpful for pet parents. I will go into this more in the future but a few months ago I almost lost my senior dog to choking, it was one of the worst things I’ve ever witnessed and so thankful I had the skills to help her in an emergency.
