We have a strong history in our family with German Shepard's because my father was saved by a German Shepard in WWII. This special dog stopped my father from walking into a mine field and sacrificed his life backing up and tripping a mine that surely would have killed my father who didn't know they were there. You could say that are whole family is here today because of a service dog that went above and beyond the call of duty.
