Restocked with Catappa leaves, aka Indian Almond leaves.
The leaves contain several flavonoids, like kaempferol and quercetin, a number of tannins, like punicalin and punicalagin, and a suite of saponins and phytosterols. Extracts have shown some effectiveness against some bacteria, specifically, Plasmodium. When in water, humic substances are formed, which, in turn, lower the pH of the water.

Acontista mexicana - Ant Mantis
These little guys are pretty rare. Named due to their likeness to poisonous ants to deter predators, they are quite speedy but fascinating to watch. Ideal range is 18°-30°C, regularly mist and feed on live foods e.g. flies, maggots, crickets, locusts, and grasshoppers. One of the few mantises which are thought to be parthenogenetic.

Creoboter urbanus - Malay Flower Mantis
Part of the Creobroter family, which is a smaller species reaching around 5cm. When fully matured, there is an eye-shaped pattern to deter any predators. Ideal temperature range is 18°-30°C. with a regular fine water spray in the enclosure
Idolomantis diabolica - Devil's Flower Mantis
This is one of the largest species of praying mantises, reaching up to 13cm (depending on gender). These are quite skittish by nature, therefore appreciate having somewhere to hide, so adding sticks and dry leaves to the enclosure helps to achieve this. They only eat flying prey, such as fruit flies.
Phidippus regius, known commonly as the regal jumper, are remarkably easy to care for. They are expert predators and require a diet of live-food like crickets or flies. Regal jumping spiders will thrive at room temperature, making them extremely low maintenance pets to keep.

Personal favourite - Kākāriki 😍
Lovebirds might be one of the smaller parrot species available as a companion pet, but this bird is inquisitive, cheeky and full of personality! Native to the forests and savannas of Sub-Saharan Africa and Madagascar, they enjoy eating seeds, grasses, fruits, and vegetables.
Betta Splendens, Siamese Fighting Fish. This beautiful fish was my first true experience of breeding fish in the hobby.
They are fascinating and characterful fish, always looking to search and explore. Best suited to a planted low light species only tank. Sometimes undeveloped males are mis-sold as females, especially the plakat males with the short fins.
This is one of the most fascinating cichlids I have kept and bred, Steatocranus casuarius, commonly known as the Blockhead Cichlid.
These characterful cichlids are unusual in that they spend a lot of time hopping about on the bottom of the aquarium, similar to gobies. This is because they have a modified swim bladder that reduces buoyancy to help in the midst of vigorous currents. They thrive in fast flowing, well oxygenated tank with plenty of algae to graze on.

This is undoubtedly one of my top five favorite fish in the hobby.
This fish goes through an outstanding color transformation as it grows. Watching this fish change from its juvenile being all black with white to bluish polka dots to adult coloring a bluish head, with an overall dark slate to almost black body and fins, and a bold contrasting whitish/yellow band around their middle. It is really awesome, it is like a completely different fish.
