Barry Bent-Legs - the disabled kitten who made an amazing recovery and is now nearly 100% normal - well as normal as a Barry can be anyway :) With a fe**sh for rubber gloves, a taste for curling ribbon, and a habit of licking well...almost anything that stays still long enough, he will always be a little 'special'!

It's been a warm one and there is lots of advice out there regarding helping animals keep cool.

Here are Barry's Top Tips:

* Stay indoors/in the shade if you can and only go out in the sun for quick solar power charges and to sniff your territory if you have too.

* Drink lots throughout the day - to encourage us to drink regularily our pet human has bowls all around the house so wherever we are there is water nearby. Our human also rinses out our sachet packets and gives us the "flavour water" to drink at meal times - yummy!

* Cooling mats are sooooo nice - I love my blankies and snuggly beds, but in the summer I do appreciate a cooling mat.

* Fans - heat rises so even in a house the upstairs can get stuffy, our human puts a fan on to help cool the air down and get it circulating. It's a little thing but we appreciate it, especially Silver
