All dogs are microchipped ,vaccinated and neutered ( where age applicable) before rehoming
We do not use kennels - dogs are placed within our family home to be assessed before looking for their forever home

Many thanks to Frocks for Freedom who have donated £152.77 to us

This is greatly appreciated and will help with some vet bills including Pindars spay and mammary strip

As you remember Pindar the spaniel was a stray we took from a local dog pound who had been horrifically over bred.

She had mammary tumours which we had removed when she was spayed and now our girl is in a fantastic home and has recovered well
Thanks to her foster mum who looked after her so well and built her back up

💔🐶🌈Sadly Sam had to say goodbye yesterday. He came to us in May 2021 at 10 years old after spending 7 years in kennels ! Why we will never know as he was always a gentleman from the day he arrived & served as an Essex therapy dog which was testament to his kind nature Thank you to his lovely mum for giving him a fantastic forever home, helping him battle cancer & arthritis over the last 18 months & showing him unconditional love . Thinking of her & all the lives Sam touched , which was many . Run free Sam You were very much loved special boy 💔🐶🌈

🥰 More good news ! Winnie had been proving to be quite tricky but her new foster mum was up for the challenge & after a couple of weeks has decided she’s not going anywhere !! Enjoy your lovely outdoorsy new home & new name Pip beautiful girl 🥰

Sound the alarms , hang out the flags ,do a happy dance( we have)- our Reggie has only gone and bagged himself the perfect home!

This little curly monster has been a definite work and progress as he did like to use his teeth to get his own way.

Lots of training and goods foster mums have seen him progress so far and yesterday his new mum collected him and they are both over the moon with each other.

We are always here if he slips back to old ways with advice and help but we have all our fingers and paws crossed for him.

This little man has been on quite the journey with us at Rovers Dog Rescue, and we’ve seen him grow into a fantastic companion. But like all great stories, Reggie’s comes with a few twists and turns. When Reggie first came to us, he was a bit unsure and, yes, he did snap and bite. But with the right boundaries and lots of love, Reggie has blossomed into a more confident and easy-going dog. He’s a quick learner and, with the right guidance, he’s become the perfect little buddy. Reggie loves other dogs and absolutely adores his walks. He’s a dog who thrives on having a routine and boundaries—he’s not just a fluffy airhead; he’s a clever little guy who needs a home that understands him. His new family must be experienced and ready to take on a dog that needs firm but loving guidance. No kids, please—Reggie needs a calm and structured environment to continue flourishing. And because he’s a non-moulting breed( yorkshire terrier cross poodle), regular grooming is essential to keep him looking and feeling his best. We know Reggie’s perfect match is out there—someone who can appreciate his cheeky charm and give him the love and structure he needs to keep being the incredible dog he’s become. In his foster home he has learnt the routine ,loves the other dogs and people now coming up for a fuss and can be be handled when needed. He just needs someone who is dog savvy with the time and patience to work with him at his pace and who will put in the boundaries he needs

He really bonds to his person and loves to be out and about with them - always checking in with them to see where they are He will make an amazing companion , he'd love adventures and long walks and he is so quick to learn so ongoing training would be perfect for him - he just wants to please

***Adopted*** Took Femo the pointer to be cat tested yesterday . He couldn't care less about cats ! Pigeons yes but cats no! This guy still needs a home so please share him - he is literally no trouble at all- so calm indoors just loves snoozing on the sofa

***Adopted*** Wonderful Woody the jack russell has been neutered this week He's such a sweet little guy and is loving all the dogs in his foster home. A really good , affectionate boy who is now ready to find his own home . Please message any interest

***Adopted*** Well Femo is still sprawled out on my sofa instead of in a new home. People - you don't know what your missing with this lovable goof ball. Hes a stunning English pointer and at 9 yrs young he 's looking for his retirement home! Scrap that- he's still full of life and will keep your garden free of pesky pidgeons!

***Adopted*** Well Femo certainly enjoyed his secure field run today! We haven't had any interest in this guy and are so surprised. He's 9 years young and really loving being an indoor dog now - loves a cuddle on the sofa! He is a perfect house guest A beautiful example of an English pointer
