Pomaville Peruvian babies born earlier this morning. 113 days POS. 8 live, 1 stillborn and 23 slugs. I was hoping for more, but not surprised as the male went into a deep shed and stopped breeding about a week before the females ovulation. Some really nice laddertails in the group and one that may have a few missing saddles.

Ended up with 13 Females & 8 Males in this Peruvian litter. Something that I have always suspected in the father of this litter is some type of hypomelanism. I don't know much about morphs in the BCI world, but there is a dramatic difference between some of these babies exhibiting almost all of the father's traits and some that look more like the mother in both pattern and tail color. This is a male pictured here and his tail has substantially less color and more of a crazy pattern in the tail. Close to half of the litter exhibits these traits. Thoughts? Such a gentle giant at over 8' and 40lbs. Like most of my collection, I raised her from a baby when she was born in 2013. She is a Rio Bravo Pokigron Suriname that has birthed 3 litters for us....2019, 2021 & 2023. Check out some of her amazing babies! She is up this fall for breeding rotation and is already looking ready to go with muscle mass.
