This is so important and many people are unaware that a dog's paws are not heat proof (or glass proof etc.). Please share to spead the knowledge!

SUMMER WARNING
A reminder that if the ground is too hot for your feet, then it's also too hot for your pet's paws. It's advised you walk pets on the grass and to check the pavement to avoid burning the padding on their paws. (City Farmers Dog Wash Cannington & Nedlands)

These GORGEOUS Sunshine Coast dogs and their human, Rachel, are doing their very best to help people see the love and beauty in these breeds. Bull breeds are some of my favourites and it breaks my heart that so many people are automatically fearful of these loving dogs! Go and follow them for more cute pictures of these two 😍😍😍

I would just like to thank Jazmin Hoffman for everything that she has done with my lovable hound.
As i've been unable at times with work to attend too loki (my dog) and give him the exersize and mind stimulant that he needs, i have always been able to rely on jazmine.

With her regular visits she has been able to walk him, excersize him, play games with him, show him attention with love and discipline, excersize him mentaly and physically, train him with new and old tricks and last but not least feed and clean up after him.

With regular comunication and genuine concern for lokis needs and welbeing this little trooper has transformed into a well obedient little pooch. We have worked together with excersize procedures, training and obedience techniques and have never had an issue with making it work.

I would recomend jazmine to anyone in need of a little extra care for there best friends or anyone seeking advice on obedience and training procedures/techniques.

High value food rewards!! This morning, these treats were gobbled up by a beautiful Bull Terrier who is very eager to learn!
I love to use home made healthy treats for training dogs. You can't get much better than human-grade pork cut up and cooked through. Usually I bake these in the oven, today I was rushed so I used the microwave...strangely the dogs don't seem to mind HOW I cook it, just that I do cook it! 😜

Heat exhaustion doesn't only happen in hot cars.
Here are some important points for dog owners to remember as the weather rapidly warms up.

RESEARCH your dogs breed characteristics in relation to their cooling system. Some breeds are more efficient at cooling themselves than others are. It's important to know your dogs limits and ensure they do not exceed them.

MONITOR your dog. Learn to recognise the signs of heat exhaustion and what steps to take if you think your dog is affected. Early detection and action can be hugely beneficial to your dog's recovery, it could certainly save their life.

LIMIT your dog's exercise during the hottest part of the day. Don't let your dog over exert her/himself as this can easily lead to heat stroke.

NEVER leave your dog unsupervised in the car or in the sun. Make sure your dog always has access to shade, water and fresh air.

ALWAYS carry water when you take your dog away from home. Ensure your dog is well hydrated at all times.
