I'm fostering this adorable dog, Vertebrae, for another week. She is learning basic dog socialization. She's come a long way in the days that she's been here, and I hope she finds her new home soon. It's so wonderful to have these other dogs that can help her find balance.

In this video there is a big black Malinois, a big red Doberman, a medium black border collie mix (Vertebrae), and a small mix. Quite the group, don't you think?

Interested in helping a dog in need? Consider fostering. I can say from experience that it is both rewarding and much needed. There are so many dogs in need right now.

We need more fosters in order to intake more dogs. Shelters are full, owner surrender requests are non stop and we have some AWESOME dogs still waiting for their families to come meet them (which means those foster families aren’t currently available).

Consider fostering with us if:
⭐️ You love dogs, but can’t adopt at this time (we provide everything the foster dog needs, we just need you to take them to vet appts and adoption events)
⭐️ You want to save a life
⭐️ You’re looking for a new friend to hang with for a few weeks

Took my dogs to the riverfront yesterday for some socialization. In the 30 minutes we were there, we experienced lots of humans, bicycles, cars, a horse and buggy, geese, boats, and a very loud whistling train, all within 20 feet of us.

Both dogs did well and we had a fun time. It was nice to feel the sun.

Where to you like to socialize your dogs? I'm always looking for fun places.

For those of you that have been asking me about classes, I am happy to announce that I have a morning puppy/adolescent class starting the morning of April 6th. For those that can't make mornings, there will be the same class offered early evening starting April 13th. For more information and to register, click the link. Does your dog get overexcited, fearful, or reactive around other dogs?

I know how uncomfortable that can be, for both you and your pup.

Here's an article you may find to be helpful. Let me know if you need assistance as you work with your dog.

Dogs who have issues with other dogs can learn to be calm around other dogs – and maybe even make dog friends.
