Ok friends I am attaching two pictures. The first picture 1:05 is of a man who watched his dog p**p outside the large dog park near the rules sign and didn’t pick it up. The second picture 1:45 is a dog in the small dog park p**ping and the owner never came to pick it up.

CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG!!!! It’s the law.

Dog park patrons please watch your dogs!!! There are holes in the grass in the outer part of the large dog park. These holes are dangerous for both humans and dogs.

If your dog did this please be kind and fill it back up again.

Hello Friends,

Please note that there are quite a few mushrooms in the outer part of the large dog park. We’ve picked some and tossed them tonight. Your help in picking these up and tossing them out to protect the pups is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Patrons please please please do not bring balls to the park to play with your dog when there are other dogs in the park! There are many dogs who are aggressive and it is really not fair to the other owners and dogs to have you throw a ball and interrupt the cohesive playtime that dogs are trying to have in the park.

Let me update my wording…. Let’s change aggressive to hyper focused.

Most dogs love to play with a ball, not all dogs are vaccinated, not all balls are safe for dogs, different size dogs need different size balls.

Please for the safety and enjoyment for others do not throw a ball in the park unless you are the only one there. If the other side is vacant use that side to toss your ball.

Hello Friends,

I wanted to inform you of something I just became aware of this afternoon.

A private function is being held in the dog park on Thursday, September 26th from 6:30PM-7:45PM. This event was approved by the Chestertown Town Manager.

This event has nothing to do with The Friends of the Chestertown Dog Park.

This is a fee based event being held by a private organization.

If you have any questions, please call the Town Office.

Please do not let your dog dig holes at the park!!!! I would like to ask the owner or owners of the small dogs who dug the holes to please fill them back in. You are responsible for your dog. Thank you.

Good Evening,

It has been brought to our attention that there have been incidents involving unleashed and/or misbehaved dogs at Bailey Park.

The Friends of the Chestertown Dog Park are a non profit organization that exists to enhance the experience at Stetson Dog Park.

Our organization is not here to enforce rules or laws of Chestertown. We are a very small group of volunteers.

If you see or experience anything both at Stetson Dog Park or Bailey Park please call Chestertown Animal Control to assist you.

Thank you all for your diligence in keeping our Dog Park safe for all.

Happy September Friends 🐾

There is a hole at the back of the large side of the park that has been dug from the outside. I have tied a few bags to the fence section and emailed maintenance about it. Please don’t remove the bags so Paul can find the area to work on.
