SASHA (meaning "defender") was a strange one
A dog brought in for cash
But we don't buy dogs from the street
We do, however, take dogs who suffer, free of charge, in a flash!

For the first few weeks SASHA lay
curled up in the corner of her kennel.
She bit the hand who dared come near
She trusted none, regardless of gentle.

But soon she crawled out of her shell
Our eyes met for the first time
And now she shines, she loves to love
She's a diamond in her prime.

Small/Medium in size.
Good with dogs.
Good with kids (presuming that she actually interacts with them).
Cats? Uncertain, but may possibly be good.

PLEASE😢😢😢 WE NEED IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE 😢😢😢

We have never felt quite as disheartened and despondent as now😢😢😢

We are NOT managing😢😢😢 We beg and plead, although it is the last thing we want to do😢😢 But what DO we do? Right now we risk losing everything we have hoped for and dreamt about for our dogs, present and future 😢 We hate having to say this, but unless a miracle happens, we will NOT be able to keep our doors open. We need support TODAY😢😢😢 We cannot let the dogs in our care down😢😢😢 They did not ask to be in the position they find themselves in and they rely on us 100% to stay alive😢

We are the “go-to” rescue when people in the Krugersdorp area need help with their own or stray animals. Sadly the financial support is just not there to carry us😢😢

We need about R3000 per day for the rescue to survive. it is a lot of money. At the moment, we are barely getting enough just to buy food for the dogs😢😢😢 Everything else has remained unpaid because it is not an option for our beautiful dogs to go hungry.

Yesterday, we got in a little Yorkie whose owners cannot afford to pay to have a cancerous growth removed in his mouth as well as a dental to extract most of his teeth.😢😢😢 He was taken to our vet but is sitting in a cage waiting to be operated on because we literally do not have R1000 to pay a deposit at our vet, where our account is at its maximum. We could have turned him away, but we rescue with our hearts💔 WHO will help if not us?

We have a handful of amazing supporters who assist time and time again, and we are so grateful for you🐾 However, we are NOT surviving😢😢 We need more support 😢

PLEASE, PLEASE, if you are in a position to help, it would literally mean the difference between us closing our doors for good or staying open for now, for today and tomorrow at least. As things stand, we cannot survive another day😢😢😢

Meet Ruschka, beautiful girl, she was left behind when her owner moved 🥺🥺🥺 people collected her for me from an awful place, but she was so stressed, scared, underweight and she had a terrible skin condition. They could not keep her. So what's the best way to bond with with a scared 50kg dog with a head the size of a bull, put her in the car and drive from Cedar square, Fourways to Manderston Canine Academy (Puppy and Dog Training School in Midrand) in Midrand in Friday 5 o clock traffic. The N1 is a parking lot. So after 2.5 hours with people staring at us and kids waving we got there safely. 😍🐶🐶🐶
Thank you Charlene Johnson Sullivan Kruger for opening your kennels for these big giants who have such little hearts. She's been looked after my Thomas who is the Saint Bernard whisperer.
