Hello my sweet fb family. I apologize for not getting back to you yesterday. It was a very long day. Also, the news is not encouraging. I'll start with her diagnosis.
1.Degenerative Valve Disease: moderate mitral & mild tricuspid regurgitation; ACVIM stage C
2. Congestive heart failure
3. Chordae tendinae rupture

Todays echocardiogram shows evidence of increased filling pressures within the left side of the heart secondary to severe degenerative valve disease. The left atrium & left ventricle are severely dilated and there is evidence a prior Chordae tendinae rupture. The radiographs (xrays) show evidence of mild pulmonary edema, most consistent with congestive heart failure.

They have added 2 more meds & up'd the meds she is already on. I am taking her back in 2 weeks for xrays to see if the meds are helping.

Her prognosis is 9-12 months

The tear in her valve is a big concern. Also during the echo, they are scaled 2-6 ...2 being good. Coco scored a 6.4

Again I'm sorry I didn't reply yesterday. It was 5 hours at the hospital then rush hour traffic coming home and they had give her some slight sedation and she was not happy coming out of that...she cried the entire 45 min drive home....it broke my heart. Of course once we were home, she settled and was out for a couple hours.

My head is in a fog, I'm in disbelief right now. Your continued prayers are needed and appreciated. You that know me know that Coco is my daughter.

Good morning. As you can see, Coco is on me like glue. ❤ when she isn't feeling well she wants to be right next to me. She is very melancholy this morning. She did eat her cheese(medicine) and just had some egg whites. I spoke to the "Veterinary Specialty Center" this morning. They are one of the best in the area, its about a half hour away. Our first appointment is going run about $1,500.00. Her bill yesterday was $300.
Its very hard for me to ask for help. But my sweet daughter needs to get to the cardiologist. Please go purchase a pair of my sunnies in my group I'll put that link in the comments. I truly appeciate all your love and support. If you can help us in any way, I would be grateful. Love you all. 😘🥰❤

Coco received this absolutely beautiful carrier that has a silk "summer" lining. We always used our one carrier (fur lined) year round...Coco would always get hot in the summers & would be panting in the stores....This carrier has a cool silk lining & Coco was like a Cucumber all day.... and the bag itself....its gorgeous!!!!!
