Sorting the shop today and thinking it’s nearly ready to open
Bittersweet with the loss of Gary who would most definitely have loved it and would have revelled in the opportunity to play at shops. certainly an inspiration to me regards knowledge of independent retail He had the perfect eye for detail and design
did that fabulous Baker Boy ❤️

I will be biting the bullet and open this coming week
( closed Mondays)

Our inbox is currently full of desperate requests for help from people who have bought rabbits from pet shops and backyard breeders.

The messages include "I was told they were both male, but one has just had babies" and "they were sold to me as a pair, but are now fighting". We are already at capacity with caring for the rescues, so have limited availability to pick up the pieces when pet shops and breeders make yet another mistake.

It is heartbreaking to think that the people and shops responsible for bringing so many of these rabbits into the world are also incapable of correctly sexing, and providing support and advice, to those they then entrust with the animals. It is purely for profit, with no thoughts of the animal's welfare taken into consideration.

Please, please avoid these issues and reduce the strain on rescues by doing your research and, wherever possible, adopt - don't shop!

My Dear Customers,

I’m welcoming in 2024 feeling better than I was and I look forward to seeing you in it.
Thank you to Charlie for your help and I wish you success going forward.
As I’ve already said to many customers I’m reigning things back in a bit and my general week will be Monday to Thursday

Welcome to my petcare page!

There hasn’t been a single day of my life that hasn’t welcomed animals as part of it, 50 years on nothing is going to change I can’t imagine a life not enhanced by animals!

I have over the years owned and loved many Dogs, Cats, Horses, Goats, Chickens, Rabbits, Sheep and Geese. As a child I was brought up with Labradors and Cats, then at 6 when my family moved to the Forest of Dean the addition of others began.

I have owned Springer Spaniels Bearded Collies Dalmations Cross Breeds and Terriers. Bobby is my own Dog, he is a little Cross Breed Terrier that I have had with me now for 8 years, he came as a rescue and is certainly a character, he is a fantastic little host dog, he shares our home with myself and my two grown up sons, various other pets and of course our canine visitors.

My business started 10 years ago I fell in to it really it, was an idea and fit well with brings up my family. I offered home visits to care for Small holdings and Horses as well as Dog walking and the occasional Dog boarding and plant watering etc. Nowadays although I still offer knowledgeable home visits for general animal care and Dog Walking. my business focus is Doggy Day Care and Overnight Home Boarding for Dogs.
