First shot at fixing some really ugly feet. This poor horse has suffered lack of Farrier care and is very uncomfortable and tight in the hind end. Medial heels were curling under, so balancing made the lateral quarter “lift” more at first. Coming back in 2 weeks to give it another go. Can’t wait to see these after a few months and excited to help this guy be happier with his new person.

I’m again, so grateful for such a wonderful group of people for my clinic in Walla Walla!! I was still able to teach with an extremely sprained ankle. I am absolutely loving this new chapter and can’t wait to do more clinics. We even gave Murphy Brown the pony some glitter toes!

I am over the moon on what a wonderful group I had for my first ever Beginner Hoof Care Clinic! Everyone was so engaged, asked thoughtful questions, and we had a blast!! I am thrilled to be teaching in Walla Walla next weekend, then Moses Lake and now Ellensburg in June!! Very proud and excited for this next chapter of my career. ❤️

I have some really exciting personal and professional things happening this year!! And I cannot contain myself, this Saturday I will be picking up this dude for the MYWY Mustang Madness Challenge!! I’ll have 100 days to bring this untouched gelding along!! Hoping to have him under saddle ready for the competition August 1st!! He may or may not be available at the auction, I’ll have to see how much I love him first 🤪😉 I won’t name him until I have hands on him but any name suggestions are welcome!! Tag #8281

Hello! As we enter the season change I feel the need to address some “housekeeping” items and give clients an update on current happenings!

First, I’d like to thank everyone for your continued support, I am so incredibly grateful for each and everyone one of my clients. I have been in business for 8! years!! And some of you have been with me for that long! I can’t even believe what a pipe dream this was in the beginning, and what incredible friendships I’ve made along the way.

Please remember this time of year horses tend to drink less water then they do in the warmer temperatures. Everyone should be feeding 1-3 Tbsp of iodized salt every day to increase water intake. I’ve already seen a few colics with this big temperature fluctuation we had the last couple of days. Also more forage is a good idea for “most” equines once it gets cold!!

I will be raising my price by $5 as of the 1st of the year. So any service I provide will just go up $5.

After an influx of glue-on inquires I have decided to not accept any new glue-on clients at the moment except for special rehab/transition cases. Glue-ons are extremely time consuming, expensive, and they are starting to take away my ability to accept new trimming clients. I appreciate all the love and excitement over them as they are a wonderful option for many horses in many different circumstances!! If you normally shoe your horse and have no intention of transitioning them to barefoot, i am not the practicioner for you. My interest is getting and keeping horses barefoot. I know we are lacking in Farriers in Chelan County but I know of a couple good ones coming in from other areas, so if you are looking for shoers, please reach out and I can send you some references.

Payment is due upon service. If I have to remind you to pay, especially more than once, I will no longer accept electronic payment from you.

Sipsy the Mountain Mule got her first set of EasyCare Inc. The Ultimate in Hoof Protection Versa Grip Glue-ons! I used the smallest hind foot size to accommodate her long narrow hooves. She was a perfect angel!

Pulled some pretty ugly shoes off this guy 6 weeks ago. He was in pretty bad shape and I was so excited to take the shoes off I didn’t get photos with them on. Here is today’s trim. This horse was instantly more comfortable after the shoes were removed with a conservative trim so we opted to not glue-on. So excited to see his progress over the next few months! These are the cases that Hoof Care Providers dream of with pretty much instant improvement!

This guy got his spring set of glue-ons today (3rd photo is pre glue-on trim) The first photo was 7 months ago, second was after I pulled shoes the same day. He went into a rehab glue-on package with DIM for 6 weeks and then was barefoot all winter. I am super happy with his progress and he is a much happier mover also!

In preparation for an upcoming 5 day pack trip in the Pasayten Wilderness, I applied full sets of the glue-on shoes to my two horses and a friend’s Mustang. I used an acrylic epoxy mixed with copper sulfate powder (to help with bacteria control) and sealed with super glue. Loving these shoes so far! The application process is easy and the shoe stays in place even without glue. Going to be adding these to my “tool box”.

Skeifa the Icelandic got a set of Easycareinc.com Performance glue ons in preparation for her upcoming endurance ride! I’m loving these shoes for the working horse, with lateral heel flexion and the ability to still clean the foot out and apply thrush treatment if necessary
