Scissor playtime for me! I gave my pup a facial trim and trimmed his little toenails. Oh, what a difference!

Grooming time is part of our bonding time. Happy Henry loves the attention and sits still for the ordeal. Today was fun; it was gorgeous outdoors, so I took the grooming out on deck in the sunshine. Passersby were entertained!

Wouldn't you agree that Happy Henry pup sits on deck in that big boy chair exuding greater confidence after our grooming session?

Oh, our treat for us both for good grooming behaviors? We shared one of his favorite treats... steamed baby carrots! And, wouldn't you know... Carrots are good for our peepers!

I'd been dog-sitting Comet and Odie for my friends, Melanie and Max. While all three dogs enjoyed each other's company, it was amazing to watch Comet and my dog, Happy Henry, bonding. These two pups were inseparable for the past eleven days!

Comet and Happy Henry played together, shared the same toys, snuggled and slept in the same bed, and ate together. These dogs would lick each other's faces and bodies throughout the day, a form of mutual grooming or allogrooming, a sign of affection.

Earlier in the afternoon, Odie and Comet's human family returned from vacation. Naturally, they came to take their furry kids home. The dogs were happy as dogs could be to see their parents and Melanie and Max were happy to see their boys!

The photo on the left is of all three dogs in the backyard a week ago. The top right photo was taken this morning, as Comet and Happy Henry played together in the backyard. In the bottom right photo, late this afternoon, a not-so-happy Henry sat in the yard, alone, wondering where his buddy had gone.

While my young pup is happy to play with all the dogs I invite to this backyard, I've never witnessed dog bonding in the way it happened between Happy Henry and Comet. I feel honored to have been present for such a sight.

I assure you there will be many playdates in the future for these pups, Odie included.

💛HAPPY THANKSGIVING, FAMILY & FRIENDS💛

I am happy to be spending Thanksgiving 2023 with Happy Henry, Rowdy Roo, and Royal Roxy... PAWSitively the best family with which I could share my day. I am forever thankful to be blessed to love and to be loved by this trio of pups.

Happy Henry, my precious puppy, received his first haircut and grooming session today! Here are Henry's before and after photos. Isn't he the most handsome fellow a gal could wish for?

This was a gift from his foster parents, Ruben J Solis and Gene McKee, who cared for him via the Kind Hands 4 Paws Rescue, from which I adopted him on October 31st.

Happy Henry Puppy's haircut and grooming services were provided by My Personal Touch Pet Grooming LLC. They did a pawsitively delightful job with my boy today, so we'll be seeing them again in the near future!

I thank God for all who played a part in bringing Happy Henry and me together and for every one of you who has supported the journey!
