COURTESY POST: 2 young female Husky mixes found on the West Side, looking for a forever home.

Found near Speedway & Painted Hills last week, no chips, no owner located. If you think these are your missing dogs, please contact with proof of ownership.

Taken to PACC for shots and chips, this pair of sweethearts has been named Millie and Tillie by the family fostering them. They're about 7-10 months old, very smart and friendly. 40-50 lbs.; likely not full grown. They are not especially reactive when seeing other dogs. Cat interactions unknown. They ignore roosters in backyard coop. PACC will spay sometime in the next couple weeks.

Approved adopters only. For the safety of the dogs, a modest rehoming fee will apply. Husky experience a plus.

After taking in dozens of animals as part of two back-to-back hoarding cases while dealing with an uptick in strays scared by New Year's fireworks, Pima Animal Care Center urgently needs people to adopt or foster dogs and cats.

A young pup at an Arizona rescue shelter had an interesting night and surveillance cameras captured how this party animal broke loose to get a midnight snack.

GORDO Bio: EMERGENCY PLACEMENT DEADLINE 12/26/23 3PM

NO SMALL DOGS OR CATS PLEASE
Name: Gordo
Animal ID: A810539
Age: 6 years
Weight: 67.0 lbs.
About: This is Gordo, a 6-year-old handsome, sweet, good boy. Gordo has had a rough life and would like to find his forever home.
Gordo was abandoned by his first owners, who left him tied up and alone in a back yard. Thankfully he was found and brought to PACC. While at PACC Gordo has shown signs of stress that has led to a decline in his behavior. He did spend some time in a foster home for 5 days where we learned that he is mostly quiet unless he is playing, he enjoyed running around and playing with the resident dog and even did good getting a bath, although he did have to be picked up and put in the bath so not his favorite. He slept in a crate with no issues. He loves to be close and get cuddles.
After being returned from short term foster care he was adopted. He was unfortunately surrendered due to escaping his yard and getting into altercations with the other dog in the home over food. Gordo was left outside in a yard with a wooden fence that he was able to chew through to get out.
Gordo is looking for a foster or an adopter that can provide him with a safe, secure home. We know that with the right home Gordo can be an amazing pet. If you think your home would be a good fit for Gordo, please come to PACC before 3pm on 12/26/23. He is available for foster or adoption through PACC.

‼️ HELPING ORPHANED MUTTS SUCCEED IS OFFERING A $500 STIPEND TO GORDO'S ADOPTER TOWARDS TRAINING TO HELP HIM BE SUCCESSFUL IN HIS NEW HOME ‼️. AND IN ADDITION TO THAT HE HAS A $500 ADOPTION CARE PACKAGE ‼️‼️.

Our Story

Helping lonely dogs find loving forever & foster homes.

Hard Luck Hounds Az is 501(c)(3) nonprofit, foster-based dog rescue organization in Tucson, Arizona.

As a non-breed specific dog rescue group, our goal is to help dogs in need, whether they are stray or abandoned, owner-released or shelter dogs. We are foster-based only, so our ability to help dogs depends on how many volunteer foster homes we have.

Besides directly saving dogs, we will work to engage in educational outreach programs to provide post-adoption support as well as educate the public on spaying/neutering, no-kill shelter goals including the establishment of a sanctuary for long-term housing of unadoptable dogs, and the importance of vaccinations and good health care for all dogs.
