My charlie was sniffling a day or two then suddenly there was a head twisting motion and she was bobbing her head and walking in circles.
No physical signs of an absess, however my vet explained to me that it is likely an absess behind the eye affecting the 8th cranial nerve causing this. There is no outward appearance of absess so we can not lance it. We are on antibiotics and waiting/hoping this absess presents itself outwardly so we can get at it. If any of you have had this experience and can recommend a vet in the North Georgia/Atlanta area I would appreciate it.

So i deal with absess and infections with my gliders from time to time. Ive gotten quite good at the process required to care for them. If you guys would like me to post the horrible things you have to be able to do to your pets in order to save their lives when this occurs, please reply to this post. Its super stressful to the pets but at the same time mine seem to understand what is happening and that ultimately what im doing is out of my love for them..

This is my roommate with Tibby. She is a rescue from probably 8 years ago that I never would give away to a rehome because of how delicate her mental state was. She has finally overcome her fears. I started giving her house freedom about 3 months ago. I did not try to work with her or push her. She is overcoming her boundaries on her own time. In this picture she climbed up his leg and chose to hang out with him on his shoulder.

Vet visits: lumpy jaw, wounds from fights among cagemates, limbs tangled in fabric.... All of these things can happen. It's not always your fault and it doesn't mean you are neglectful. What I will say is act responsibly;, take inventory every morning and every night of your animals. Make sure you see all of them. Always check their water even if you filled it yesterday. And go to the vet immediately if you detect something wrong in their behavior - there's a reason.
And yes, they are fragile, and yes they may die from the least little thing. But so can we all!!!
Advice: Keep your numbers small and keep your attention and affection great.
