👋🏼🐾 Say hello to Fiona, a fit, fab, and fanciful lady! Her award-winning smile and sweet demeanor are an elixir for making people happy.
Besides having a dog who will worship you, you will also be the proud pet parent of a black German Shepherd, a less common version that sports a stunning coat. She is a real beauty!
Fiona approves of new people who will initially play with her, and then she feels comfortable being your friend. Fiona 💕LOVES💕 playing in and running around a yard, and her favorite game is fetch. These exercises feed her soul (and tires her out!). Her other go-to pleasure is being in a kiddie pool. She gets so much joy from this water activity.
Fiona is sweet, listens well, and behaves great off-leash. She does well roaming free in the yard and house. Just block off the kitchen trash! Fiona sees the dogs at daycare and boarding, but doesn’t interact with them. She prefers being the only pet. Her motto is: Why share affection when I can have it all to myself?
Energetic, smart, and entertaining, her large independently moving ears could possibly mean she communicates with aliens. (Should we contact Roswell?) Seriously though, Fiona is happiest when with her people. Her ideal home is one where she’s not left alone too long. A nice fenced yard is preferred, though she’s used to apartment living as long as she has exercise, playtime, affection, and love. Lots of love!
Fiona attended puppy training, and loves training sessions. Though good with dogs in the open, she needs work on reactivity while on leash. She pulls and barks at other dogs and people when leashed. Fiona has many fans, and her main advocate will guide you on how to improve this behavior.
Fiona is best for older kids because she is a big girl and playfully rambunctious. She’s lived with women and has female caregivers, therefore men must give her more time and space to adjust, as a new home is an adjustment in itself. Let her approach first.
Fiona is truly in need of a forever home. She has been living in a boarding environment for more than a year, and though she’s in safe hands, it is a lonely place for a dog who bonds so deeply with humans. She is from a family that loves her, but rental housing is preventing them (and many other families) from staying together. Large dogs are among the list of unwanted pets despite good behavior. She has never bitten and respects her home. In addition she is spayed, potty-trained, and up-to-date on vaccinations and preventives.
