Our Story ‘A Little Bit of Luxury’

Claire Smyth is the owner and the inspiration behind Northern Ireland’s Don't forget the Dog, having worked in corporate industry for over 20 years it was time to make a change and follow a passion that is close to her heart, man’s best friend. Her Irish Setter Abbey could also be the cause for the change in career. “I decided it was time to create some quality luxury dog accessories such as Bandanas, Dicky Bows and we make these adorable little Pooh Bag Holders with rich tweeds”.

“All products are handmade and designed by myself and inspired by our rural landscape. Tweeds stand up well against our weather here and have a lovely traditional appearance. Its great to meet so many dog owners who are devoted to their dogs, my products allow them to show their affection” As a nation of dog lovers with more and more people finding the benefits of having a dog in their life, its a great time to introduce these products.

“I wanted to bring local luxury dog products to market, something superior, well made and with a touch of class. We are all continuing to spend more and more money on our pets and I seen a window of opportunity to do something I would take great pleasure in. I just love the thought of people spoiling their dog with one of my products.
