Boundary suction!!!!
Look at the speed and pace with which baby Cadbury finds her bed πππ
As we continue to build our boundary games we will work on more calmness and duration but for now we just want it to be fast and fun and for her to want to be on that bed π₯π₯π₯
Grid work π₯π₯π₯
This is a fantastic way for our dogs to learn how to jump with correct technique and to figure out their striding and take off points for jumps.
The more we can set them up correctly to figure these things out themselves in a safe way, the better their understanding will be on a course π
Shaping boundaries with our baby dog π
Here we are building our boundary games with 4 month old Cadbury. At this stage we want her to actively seek out the bed and choose it over all else π
We do quick repetitions of on and off the bed and notice that I don't nag her to get on the bed, I just allow her to have a think and then jackpot when she makes the right choice πππ
Wing wrapping practice π
To a lot of our fast moving agility dogs, bending around a wing can seem like a waste of time. Why not just run at full speed and then turn on the flat? πππ
Well little energiser bunny, your humans know what's safer for your body and so today we practiced tight turning around the wing π
Notice the reward placement close to the wing to build value in the wing rather than just chasing me down π
Also notice how much of our session is about the reward compared to the time she actually spends doing the skill ππππ
ONE ON ONE TIME WITH YOUR DOGS
Even if you have multiple dogs in your household like we do, it's crucial that they all still get some one on one time with us π
They each have different needs and things that they love to do more than others so it's super important to remember to give each of your dogs some special solo time. This builds an incredible bond between you and each of your dogs πππ
Here's Banksi and I doing something she loves - exploring the paddocks πππ
PUPPIES VS ADULTS
For young puppies, their world is very small so we need to gently expose them to the big wide world in safe and supportive ways ππ€©
We love taking pups on adventures with the adult dogs to show them that the world is really funπ€© Remember that you will often be the centre of your pups universe so you need to be playful and get involved too! Today Cadbury and I went and climbed some tree stumps, splashed in some puddles and did some gardening together πππ
What did you and your puppy get up to today?
RECALLS AND TRUSTING YOUR DOG OFFLEAD πππ
Don't we all want our dogs to have full lives where they can run free? But do you trust your dog to stay close and come back when called??
This is a really common struggle for dog owners and I can tell you, there's only one secret you need to know.........
Your dog needs to think that coming back towards you is JUST AS FUN as what's out there in the environment!!!!
This is a great game we play to build the value in exactly that! As they come towards you, throw a treat as far in the opposite direction as you can π Send us your videos of you playing this game with your dog!!!
Fitness and conditioning is such an important part of our own dogs lives π

Kozi demonstrating her Kong abilities π€£
Kongs are a great enrichment activity that encourage our dogs to use their brains! They build confidence and independence from us - all very crucial life skills πππ
Did you know any dog can search for any item? The girls working on their scentwork tracking frisbee's. No frisbee is safe with Marlu around!
Pure joy π. Training shouldn't be hard & feel like a chore. Keep it simple, keep it fun, keep it fast and and enjoy playing with your dogs πππ
#k9nosework is such a great activity for dogs who might have struggles around unfamiliar dogs or people!
It teaches them to focus on the game at hand & gives them coping skills to deal with situations they find challenging, like seeing a dog walking across the road!
Ninja doing a #k9nosework perimeter search at class today!
So great to see some blue sky π
