It’s giving Tuesday

2024 was an incredibly busy year for Catpurrccinos Cat Café and Feral to Family Cat Rescue! We’re thrilled to share that over 275 cats found their forever homes this year. However, alongside the joy, we also faced challenges. We cared for litters of sick kittens, managed multiple hospital stays and surgeries, and tackled countless rescue missions—including clearing out an abandoned building at JFK and stepping in to help with numerous hoarding situations.
To date, we’ve spent nearly $90,000 on medical care, including routine and emergency treatments. None of this would have been possible without your unwavering support.
This year marks the 5th anniversary of Catpurrccinos, and we couldn’t be prouder. Currently, 51 amazing cats and kittens are at the café awaiting adoption, with another 75 in foster care waiting for their chance at a forever home.
Rescue isn’t just a job—it’s a passion we’re honored to share with you. Today, Giving Tuesday, we’re hosting our final fundraiser of the year. Your donations, big or small, make all the difference. It’s with a heavy heart that i share the news of the passing of my Aunt karen powers. She suffered so long and is now at peace. Karen was one of the inspirations of our family getting into animal rescue. She was the “O.G.” Cat lady. She loved coming to the cafe, but would show up for everyone in our family. We are sad to report that one our newest fosters Ace passed during the night. Ace came to us with his siblings severely underweight, and ridden with coccidia. Despite the efforts of his great foster he crossed the rainbow bridge. This is the worst part of rescue. We try so hard. The fist of his litter, not to mention the other 20 that are in foster will need a lot of medical and we could use whatever support you can give! Watch our video to see some of our new comers.

**Urgent foster needed- capable of injecting insulin**

We desperately need fostering for a recent surrender. We recived a message last week from a person who’s 15 year old cat had stopped eating and was lathargic. When we spoke we found out she was homless, caring for her animals in a cold Camper. We agreeded to help and after extensive testing it was found the cat is diabetic. She has had this cat since it was a year and is heartbroken, but agreeded to surrender him to us so he can get the care he needs. If interested & capable enough - which means having had practice giving pets Injections before-, please message us ASAP. Thank you

We have an urgent and heartbreaking situation at hand. A litter of precious, bottle-fed kittens came into our care, and they were severely infested with coccidia, a parasite that wreaked havoc on their fragile little bodies. The kittens were afflicted by extreme diarrhea, which ultimately led to severe dehydration, creating a cascade of health complications.
In our relentless efforts to save these innocent lives, our dedicated team of veterinarians had to make the difficult decision to hospitalize them and provide life-saving IV support. Despite the exceptional care they received, not all of these kittens managed to pull through. It is a profound loss that has touched us all deeply.
Now, we are faced with a pressing challenge. The medical bills from their hospitalization have accumulated, and we need your help to cover these expenses. Your donations are essential to ensuring that the remaining kittens receive the continued care they desperately need. We are committed to helping them recover, grow healthy and strong, and eventually find their forever homes.
