UPDATE: REST IN PEACE JOEY Tonight we want to share Joey Survival Spirit. As many of you know, Joey has been close to deaths door on more than one occasion, but his sheer determination to fight to survive has been remarkable and incredibly touching. Joey has been syringe fed his feeds and really battled to tolerate his feeds. After a massive maggots infestation and an infection, Joey has proven us all wrong. This boy is a frighter and much encouragement has been given by his sister, Jelly Bean and his hooman mom, Carey. Then last night, Joey started to push himself up, he started to follow his sister to be next to her, he tried to find the nipples of the monkey and final today he has the strength to suck his feed from a bottle. His feed intake has increased and he tolerates his feeds. We live in hope Joey will pull through, however we take one day at a time. We hope to call Joeys story, A MIRACLE, as in all essence that is what it is….

So our Harley got out the property and their neighbour decided to kick her because she was excited to see him. We are tired of people treating dogs this manner. Yes Harley shouldn’t have been in the road and there is no reason to kick a dog. Harley was surrendered to us and will be joining her new home soon.

Lilly is in the best home….lights out and snoring! We wonder what she is dreaming about?

NOT FOR SENSITIVE VIEWERS Yesterday we took in these three abandoned pups. Once in our care, they were treated for worms and given a supplement booster. Towards the evening, this is what was coming out of their rectum. Very alarmed, they were taken to the vet. The female was doing very well, but the males were not feeding too well. Our vet found the pups had a bit of a runny tummy and due to the moisture of the fluids a good breading ground for flies to lay their eggs. Bear in mind we have no history on the pups. The pups were treated and will be monitored closely. If anyone would like to donate towards their vet bill. We would greatly appreciate your help. Rescue starts anytime….. A gentleman contacted Karen just before 6am this morning to say someone had dumped 3 possible 1 week old pups as their eyes were still closed, in his garden. The pups have been dropped off with Karen. They are cold and goodness knows when their last feed was. The pups will be joining the puppy team shortly. Why do people do this! Sadly we have no history, but we will give these pups a fighting chance.

Tonight we share some very good news, all our puppies are now drinking on their own, no more syringe feeding! We are happy with their progress and will take one day at a time. Once again thank you to all who made a donation towards the RC Puppy milk. You have been absolute angels x

Today Piggles had a meet & greet ….. Despite the light rain, we still went to do the meet and greet with two other dogs. Piggles had so much fun running around and meeting other dogs especially walking in the water. Piggles is around five months old. She is a Labrador X. She needs to be sterlised. She is well socialised with other dogs and good with children, but not exposed to cats. Adoption criteria and fees applies. Three of the four puppies are not doing well. Full of ticks. Syringe feed them. Going to warm them up and hopefully they will pull through.

This little boy was found and despite networking by his rescuer, no one came forward. We have named him Dash. He was in a shocking state. Full of ticks and fleas. Thank you to Bev for grooming his boy so nicely. He was surrendered to us. Welcome to the BBB family.
