Good Morning Great Spirit, Almighty Healer and Creator of all things,
It is with humbled hearts that we gather together to offer many thanks.
We thank you for the music of the crickets under the shadow of night, the howling of the wolf as he calls out to Grandmother Moon, and the fresh rushing spring waters deep in the forests.
We thank you for the winds that flow through the blades of grass and trees, that replenishes us with fresh air.
We thank you for the early morning mist that floats down from above, to provide the earth with moisture necessary for life.
We thank you for all two-leggeds, four-leggeds, swimmers, fliers and crawlers that we interact with each day.
We thank you for the morning warmth of Grandfather Sun.
For the bloom of the daffodils, roses and daisies, we thank you.
We thank you for the gifts that you have provided for your children.
May we use them with compassion and understanding, in a way that will benefit all.
We ask for a time of reflection.
May we take the time to understand our failings and our blessings, and work toward a more righteous life.
We ask for eyes to open that have been closed for too long.
We ask for this time to re-evaluate the direction of this country, and move in a more positive direction.
May we turn from our wickedness and bring you back into focus, within this blessed country.
Let us begin a life where no man is greater than the next, and where nothing is done without the knowledge of your people.
We ask for protection, strength and great stamina for those that stand against the evil that continues to destroy your lands, animals and cultures.
We ask for our voices to be heard throughout the four corners where we can begin to teach those that are willing, your ways and the tasks you have given us.
We ask for an end to the hatred that has permeated throughout our society and bring peace to a land where we are suffering.
We ask for true equality for all five colors, where we are no longer controlled by greed or materialistic lust.
We ask for an era of peace, where we can once again unlock our doors without fear. We ask for an end to the man-made poisons that man has created in the name of science and begin to rely upon the herbs and plants you have created for us.
We ask for the return of our children that have been abducted.
We ask for protection for our women and children that are suffering through violence and abuse.
We ask for your forgiveness when we stray, and your blessing when we have not.
We ask for freedom for those that have been incarcerated for crimes they did not commit.
We ask for your healing hands to be placed upon those that are suffering through diverse diseases and disorders.
For those that have lost loved ones,
We ask for your comfort and peace be granted.
We ask for strength, courage and guidance for those that have gathered with their ancestors as they move into the next phase of life.
We thank you for our Elders that have given us so much, while we journeyed along our path.
We thank you for our children that remind us of innocence of our youth.
We thank you for the nature that surrounds us, and the tranquility it gives us when we take time out of our daily lives.
We thank you for the many trials we encounter that serve to strengthen our spirit.
We thank you for family and friends and the support they provide in times of need.
We thank you for the precious gift of life.
