Chinese Chongqing Dog can be traced back to Western Han Dynasty (BC 202- AD 8), more than 2,000 years ago. Archaeologists found a huge Western Han Dynasty’s gravey yard in Jiangbei area of Chongqing on 20th April, 2000.

The Chongqing Chinese Dog has two breeds:


  • Chongqing Hound (Companion Dog, Utility dog.) - Bulldog type (short nose and brachycephalic)
