This fearless 1-year-old Belgian Malinois is confident, energetic, and always up for adventure! She loves people and enjoys pets but would thrive with an experienced handler.

✨ Kona is eligible for the Veteran Program! ✨
This means training and handling support will be provided after adoption to help her transition smoothly.

🐕 Reactive to unknown dogs (needs training)

🚫 Not suited for homes with small or farm animals

🛑 Here we are, our least favorite part of rescue.
INTAKE HOLD. We will not be able to take in anymore dogs until the ones we have are in a foster home! We NEED fosters desperately. We have 3 dogs coming out of training and those are the ones we are focusing on first. We cannot pay approximately 2,000 per dog to be trained just to put them back in boarding. Everything that they learned and we paid for will just be a waste. We NEED fosters to help keep up with their skills that they have learned. You won't be alone, these trainers offer free classes to teach you how to work with them and integrate them into your home. Also, they are available for calls if you have questions! PLEASE HELP!

The next set of dogs that are urgent are the ones in boarding, why bring in more new dogs into foster homes when we have ones in boarding that deserve to get out. Boarding is great short term and to keep a dog safe and healthy, but now it's time they get THEIR chance to be in a home!

We had an awesome event at Dead Armadillo Brewery today! Lots of people, lots of dogs, 2 adoptions and many more friendships made with our 4 legged babies!! Thank you to ALL who came out! Thank you to all of our fosters and volunteers for giving up part of your Saturday's to help these babies find their forever homes!! Thank you Julie Wallis McGinnis for the great pics!

Meet Marcus! I am a 4 year old malinios located in Tulsa. I am currently in training at Oklahoma to learn to be the best boy!!
I am super happy to work with my family, and learn new things. I have been learning how to settle down and relax with the family but I’m always on board to keep the family active! I would do best with older children in my new home and I am dog neutral. I thrive on structure and learning opportunities. I am very prey driven like most malinios, so I prefer a home without cats.

Marcus needs a handler that will keep up with his training daily, if given the opportunity, Marcus thinks he's in charge, but with constant reminders and showing him you are in charge, he is great!!

Marcus needs a foster home to go to right after training if he's not adopted first. If you can foster him, please fill out a foster application at www.oklahomagsr.org/foster.

Update: Dobey did so good at our adoption event this weekend, he wanred to play with every dog he saw!!

Dobie is a sweet, 1-year-old boy looking for a loving home! He adores people and wants to be by your side. Because of his separation anxiety, he’ll do best with someone who’s home often and can help him feel secure.

He’s still working on crate training and will need some patience as he learns. Dobey is great with other dogs! He wants to play and roughhouse!!
