🥰Remember Brutus we posted yesterday? Here he is on the way to the vet yesterday and our amazing volunteers giving him a 🛀bath!

📖Story time.....
While Brutus was at the vet yesterday, they scanned him for a microchip and to our surprise, he was chipped. So we called the chip company and got all of the information. I called the "owner" who lived in Dallas, he had him chipped but gave him to someone else that lived in some other town in Texas, that person gave him to an elderly man in Thackerville Ok. I got ahold of the second owner who said that the 3rd owner (the older guy) had died and his daughter (or some family member) then had him. Brutus was found in Marietta Ok.

We are unable to track him to anyone else, so this is our official "Is this your dog" post. He is now in Tulsa under our care and unless you can 100% identify him and show proof of ownership, he is not going anywhere else, this boy has been yanked around enough!

Brutus will be up for adoption in a couple weeks!

🐾 Incoming 🐾
Ecto is a 9 month old full Belgian Malinois that was surrendered to us as a result of the person not doing research before getting this breed. He was too much for them and spent most of his in a crate. Ecto is off to JPK9 Oklahoma for board and train to learn that he doesn't have to be punished for doing malinios things! His trainer Jaden House knows just what he needs. Stay tuned for updates!

Brutus was dumped out in Marietta Ok. We got an email stating he needed help. Thanks to the swift action of a couple of our amazing volunteers, he arrived last night and is safe and sound. Remember that Picasso found his hero last weekend? He spent a week with his new dad Chris for some bonding time and today he is with JPK9 Oklahoma to start his 2 weeks board and train!

🎉🎈OCTOBER BIRTHDAY CHALLENGE 🎈🎉

We are celebrating several milestones. This month, 🩷October, marks a significant achievement for us as we reach 20,000 followers. Additionally, October is the birth month of our rescue founder, Tina Blankenship, as well as our president, Kristi Westphal-Anderson. Furthermore, October holds special significance as the month we officially obtained our 501c3 status (10/2018)🥳 In a conversation with Tina Blankenship this evening, she expressed her desire for our 20,000 followers to donate $22 in honor of her birthday, which falls on October 22nd. Meanwhile, Kristi Westphal-Anderson suggested a donation of $18 in celebration of her own birthday on October 18th, turning it into a friendly competition.

Our October Birthday challenge unfortunately is not going well. We have raised 519.00 of 20,000. That is 2.59% of our goal. Are you in? Can you help us reach our goal? We don't do the big huge fancy fundraisers because, well it costs money to do that, that kind of defeats the purpose. This way, 100% of your donations come straight to us and go straight to the dogs!
