Unfortunately we didn’t have a litter this summer, we had Maddie’s whelping box set up for a surprise just in case litter and when Grandma Abby realized that it wasn’t going to be needed as a nursery she moved in.

I think she decided that since she can’t have babies anymore she was entitled to have her own space all to herself, I mean I guess she did kind of earn her title as House Queen, so for now it’s an old lady bed 🛌😂
We will update if Abby every decides to move out 😂😂😂😂

Please include your current email addresses/ phone numbers and your dream choice of a puppy. I will get back to you as quickly as possible; I want to compare my lists and ensure we haven’t forgotten anyone over the year.

When all I want to do is cry, finding photos of how much joy Sophie brought our home is all I can hold on to.
Fly high little angel. In the 25 years of marriage we have lost some amazing pets.
Sophie was one amazing dog & we know she is up in heaven playing with Sampson, Belle, Donatello, Kater & Sage so many cats that are watching over us. This is never easy, and I just wanted to add some photos so when my memories pop up in the future I will have something to smile about.

It’s been over a week, and every day that goes by, it’s harder and harder to post this.
Every day, I wait for her to stroll back up to the house, magically arriving like nothing ever happened, just like she always has; this time, it’s different.
The day she went outside for her morning routine wasn’t normal. Sophie had been feeling yucky; we could tell something was off about her; our poor girl had been sick all night, throwing up and dripping spots of blood wherever she sat; we were pretty sure she had miscarried if she was pregnant and worse yet had something serious going on.
She seemed to calm down, and the vet was opening in a couple of hours, so we decided that making her comfortable on our guest bed was best and to call the vet when they opened to get her an appointment. Still, Sophie, at some point, had other plans; she used the dog door and went outside for her morning walk.
Which always includes a full walk of the perimeter of our property. She has done it every day has every day since moving here. But last Monday was different, and she did not make it back.
Just in a true Sophia fashion, she found her own special hidden place to get comfortable. Going to the vet wasn’t in her plans for the day. I just wished she would have stopped and let me hold her one last time. Yes, we have searched and walked everywhere accessible on our property, and we have had the dog out searching for her, too.
But if anyone knows our Sophie, she was brilliant, and she wouldn’t make finding her an easy task.
We now know that sometimes our dogs know way more than we do; they are beyond wise have an angel-like instinct and intuition, and I know My Sophie wouldn’t have wanted it any other way, so today, I say goodbye and thank you to her for all of her years of watching over me, for saving my life on multiple occasions, and for being one of my best friends. You will forever be my shadow, and mowing the lawn will never be the same. I miss you so much, sweet girl.

Big day today: the babies had their seven-week vet appointment, and once again, they are big babies 😂 oh my golly

(He is our new addition from Kentucky. He joined the crew and had his shots also. He is 11 weeks old was 14.0 pounds)

3 weeks old and our little singing babies are doing so well.
They wake us every morning with a serenade of beautiful harmonies 😂🥰 it’s honestly adorable.

“Stella”
Is amazing. She has turned into quite the little cutie pie. From her scary first weeks of trying to get her to nurse and feeding her around the clock, she started at under .05 ounces to now weighing in at 17 pounds 💖💖💖💖💖
When people ask me why we don’t let the dogs decide which puppies make it and which ones don’t, by “natural selection “ it’s because of these little faces! It’s because if we can save a baby we are going to stop at nothing to make it happen.
This is just one of manysuccess stories 💖 No we are NOT regular breeders, but I never want to be. We love these babies, and we will do whatever it takes to make sure every single one survives 💖💖💖

Babies in training…. Almost all of them have graduated preschool and are learning new big kid stuff, Learning their name is hard work, learning to come when called but they are passing through all their milestones with flying colors.

We are located in Oak Grove, Missouri, and only breed English Springers. All of our breeding dogs are our family members. All of our dogs sleep with us, go on vacations with us, live with us, inside our home. We have 4 teenage children that each have their own dog, and our dogs are their best friends.
We do not “out breed”, or “dog share”, We also do not re-home our adult retired dogs, All of our dogs stay with us their entire lives. We provide the best possible life for our adult dogs and puppies. They are beyond spoiled with 8 acres of land to run and play. They have full access to being with us at all times as well as they are treated with the loving and respect that a man’s best friend should be given.
We take pride in raising healthy, well adjusted puppies that will become a part of your family, after first becoming a part of ours. We hold them, cuddle them, spoil them from the day they are born. They are pampered, and cherished every day that they are with us. We do our best to socialize them, start to potty train them. We expose them to all sorts of fun adventures, here on the safety of our property, as well as in our house, so that you don't buy a puppy that is afraid of anything. They are taught to be polite, and they are never left with strangers.
The puppy living area is always kept very clean and sanitary, as we humans also live here and we like to have a house that doesn't smell LOL. This is great for you because your new puppy learns quickly that there is a litter box for doing their business in, and your puppy will be clean and healthy. no worries of having a sick puppy. Also all puppies have a full vet check as well as their first round of shots by a Licensed Vet. We also will microchip for those looking for it to be done prior to going to their future homes.
We match our pups personality to where they are going to ensure that you will be buying the best possible companion. Giving us a detailed information list about yourself not only helps us decide on if your a match for our family but it will also help us in matching the right puppy to your specific needs and wants. However we do not choose your dog for you, we will guide you in making the right fit.
We expect you to be committed to buying a lifelong commitment. However if life ever throws you a curveball then we at Sidney Springers have a huge community of current owners that will help with the rehoming process if that is ever necessary. We require a signed contract that our dogs will never be re-homed without our knowledge, as well as we ask that the dog be returned to us for re-homing. This not only ensures you the safeguard that you don't have to worry about finding a home for your dog, but it also helps us make sure that the dog will never end up in a shelter. we are very strict about that.
We started a “Baby “Sidney Springers Graduates” page so that all of our current owners can get to know each other, also it is a giant community of our grand pups that we can keep up with and follow throughout their lives. Buying a dog from us is not just getting a dog. You're getting a family, and a lifelong friend, and a community of people who all spend their time loving on a Sidney Springer.
