Our passion is for chocolate Labradors and we make it our goal to produce healthy, good-looking and well-socialized dogs that meet the AKC Labrador Retriever breed standard. All of the dogs that we breed have had their hips and elbows tested by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA). Also, all dogs have their eyes cleared from inheritable eye disorders by a Board Certified Veterinary of Ophth

almologist (AVCO) and are registered by the Canine Eye Registration Foundation (CERF). DNA tests are also conducted to ensure that our dogs are not affected by Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC) and Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA). We only offer our puppies on AKC Limited Registration, unless otherwise agreed upon. With AKC Limited Registration you will still be able to compete in obedience, agility, field trials and hunting tests. Occasionally after careful screening of the new home, we agree to forego the Limited Registration and place the puppy with AKC Full Registration. Full Registration is only for dogs that are actively being shown in the dog show conformation ring and are eligible to be used as breeding stock. Our dogs have great temperaments and are wonderful family dogs. All of our puppies are raised as part of the family from the moment they are born. Because of this constant love and attention, the puppies are well-socialized with people, kids and other dogs. Puppies are ready to go home at eight weeks of age and come with AKC registration papers, a three generation pedigree, microchip, first puppy shot series, deworming of the puppy at 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks of age, veterinary health certificate/release, and more. Although our breeding program remains a "hobby", our commitment to the Labrador Retriever and the betterment of the breed is strong. We are looking forward to many more great years with our Labradors.

🐾 In Loving Memory of Aggie 🐾

September 5, 2009 - May 15, 2024

Today, we bid farewell to our Aggie girl, who would have celebrated her 15th birthday in September. Her journey was marked by love and countless cherished memories. She was the one that started it all. Aggie's spirit lives on in her puppies and in the hearts of all who knew her. Thank you to everyone who was a part of her journey.

Aggie was the epitome of a Labrador. She was the top of her “super dog” obedience class. She was so intelligent and it made training her a joy.

A powerhouse swimmer, she glided through the water, her strong hind end propelling her effortlessly. Retrieving her bumpers in the water was an obsession and she refused to stop until we insisted.

Her playful puppy-like spirit remained until her final days.

Aggie reigned as the queen of the pillows, retiring early each night. Hope you find a big stack of pillows in Heaven, Aggie. We love you. You'll forever hold a special place in our hearts. ❤️

Let’s see if you can spot it. This is a first for us. Labradors are sometimes born with white “bolo marks”, which trace back to Ch. Banchory Bolo, an early male Labrador. The Labrador Retriever descended from the St. Johns Water Dog, which had white spots on its feet and face.

Quick update: Our Granite x Costa puppies are 1 week old. Puppies and Mom are doing well. They are gaining weight and thriving. They nurse around the clock and are being watched carefully.

Our Granite x Costa puppies arrived yesterday! Costa did a great job delivering the puppies. We have 7 healthy puppies. 3 chocolate females, 3 black females, and 1 black male. We’ll be watching the puppies around the clock to make sure they are nursing well and gaining weight. We will share another update later on in the week.

Exciting news! We are planning a black and chocolate litter that will be due at the end of January and ready to go home at the end of March. The parents are AKC MBISS CH Glacieridge Tabatha's Granite and TruPride’s Costa de Rox. Granite is black and Costa is chocolate. Costa is Roxy’s daughter. This will be her first litter.

Scott x Reba puppies. 1 week old! Why is Reba always licking them? Puppies cannot eliminate (urinate or defecate) on their own until about 3 weeks of age? They rely on their mother to stimulate their reflex to initiate elimination.

The “place” command is life changing. I highly recommend it. Reba stays in her place when visitors enter the home and does not leave the place until the person who put her there releases her. Training by The Doghouse, LLC
