Those of you who have been to the stables in the last few weeks will have met the lovely Star – our newest Pony. 🥰

Star is a lovely chestnut New Forest mare who we are sure will be very popular with our riders.

We are running a raffle to help towards buying Star and would really like you to support us by buying tickets either on line or from the stables.

There are lots of lovely prizes including:
• A basket of luxury food goodies including tea, coffee biscuits etc
• Two ‘pamper’ hampers including shower gels, perfumes, hand washes etc
• A selection of Jams and Teas
• An Christmas apron and Matching oven gloves
• Some tins of biscuits

Tickets are £1 each and you can either buy them when you come to the stables or let us know how many you would like in the comments box below and transfer the money to our bank account. The bank details are:

Continuing our year of gratitude 🤗 we have been very fortunate to have been gifted an inky dinky saddle. A very lovely lady called Cynthia, kindly donated her saddle, which was bought for her grandson but sadly no longer needed.

We have already put it to good use and these two riders enjoyed trying it out for us.

Thank you very much Cynthia we are truly grateful. ❤️

Another day, another heartfelt thank you! This time it’s the wonderful ladies from Calverley golf club, who have chosen Leeds Area RDA as their charity of the year, for the second year running. 🫶🏼 They have been extremely busy organising raffles, collecting loose change and a shout out to Lou who even auctioned her parking spot! We are delighted to have accepted a cheque for £300. 😍

💰Money received from the Christmas Fair and the ladies section at Calverley Golf Club will be used to cover the costs of routine visits from our farrier, vet and dentist. 🐴

How fantastic is our new sign? It’s just wonderful 🥰 our thanks go to Hilary Doyle who volunteers on a Saturday morning. Hilary who is clearly very talented spent a long time getting this just right for us.

🥳🥳A huge congratulations to Vicky on winning The Extra Mile Award at this year's Coaching Awards. 🥳🥳

Outside of coaching on a Sunday, Vicky helps to organise and run all our extra sessions including pony days, village hacks, pole work lessons and Tea with a Pony sessions. She also in charge of pony welfare making sure the herd is well looked after and has spent many many many hours picking sycamore seedlings this summer to keep the ponies safe.

Thank you Vicky for always going the extra mile for Leeds Area RDA, we would be lost without you!! 🐎😃

Earlier this year these gorgeous volunteers were very busy baking and organising a bake sale 🧁 They raised a wonderful £115 and we can’t express how grateful we are!
💰The extra cash has been very useful paying some of our outgoings, however the girls did request that some of the money be used to buy something for Toby. 🥰
Thank you girls and how handsome does Toby look in his new head collar 🤩

Congratulations 🥳 to our fabulous riders on their amazing achievements in our holiday proficiency session this week. Great riding skills and horse care knowledge 🤩

We had a lovely ‘show’ day during the week as part of our summer timetable. Our volunteers prepared the horses ready for the show 🥰 they looked fabulous. Then our riders had to navigate a handy pony course with different challenges and then we showed off our walking and trotting for the judge.

WHAT A DAY!!!!

A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered at today’s Big Help Out!!! We were all blown away with the support even with the rain!! 🌧️🌧️🌧️

Lots of seedling picking 🌱 tack cleaning, stable cleaning, power washing and some tea and cake to keep us all going!!

I hope everyone spots us on ITV and Sky news and on the radio!!
