As 2024 summer is slowly fading into fall, we find ourselves scrambling to get dozens of projects started and finished on an imaginary budget. Stresses are high, but taking a minute to look at how far we’ve come is absolutely incredible.
Sancho, one of our senior rescues enjoying the sunrise on Saturday with not a care in the world about the storm that was coming. I think he knew it would pass and everything would be okay. Maybe he even knew that the storm coming would bring new life and greener grass that we’ve been steadily praying for. Maybe we needed the storm.

Candy is a bit of a fan favorite over here. Safe for anyone to be around, a huge confidence booster. I’ve had people petrified of horses tell me Candy is the only horse they’ve been comfortable around. She really is a gem. The longer we have her the less I want to sell. However if I’m being honest with myself, she needs to find her person.
Candy is BROKE, she has flagged colts, worked cattle, trail rides, patterned on gaming events though she isn’t gaming sound, she has carried flags and competed in OHSET. Shes the been there done that confidence booster that everyone wants. Shes kind and much rather hang out with you than other horses. She leads, loads, ties, hauls, bathes, picks up all 4 feet, and does everything she should with a calm and gentle demeanor. She stays barefoot with amazing feet, she’s an easy keeper, is easy on fencing and stalls well. I have nothing negative to say about her, she’s really stole my heart. If I didn’t have 7 others this would be a no brainer and I’d be keeping her.

Selling our 1999 Thuro-bilt 2 horse slant trailer. Extra tall, extra wide. AMAZING trailer to pull, can’t even feel it. Super safe and sturdy, just put in brand new floors. Very minimal rust, functional and ready to haul with. Has been an awesome commuter trailer, don’t want to give it up but we need to get something larger.

This is supposed to be our grass field, but if you look close enough it’s being suffocated by Wild Prickly Lettuce. Usually our first go to would be to mow and spray with a w**d killer, but this year we are doing something a little different. Studying herbs over the last year or so has opened our eyes to the benefits of all sorts of plants that people deem “w**ds”. Wild Prickly Lettuce also called O***m Lettuce has many medicinal uses, this plant offers relieved tension especially to the musculoskeletal system and is calming to the nervous system. Prickly Lettuce is a natural o***m and is sometimes used to treat o***m addiction as it holds many of the same properties without being addictive. One other awesome use of this plant is goats love it! Prickly Lettuce is also drought resistant.
Our goal for this summer is to rotate graze the goat herd throughout our pasture to help eradicate the plant but also offer another nutrient dense browsing source!
I can’t wait to update with how much the goats are enjoying it as soon as out fencing is up and running!

12yr old grade mare, nice horse just not what I’m looking for. Halters, leads, loads, hauls, picks up all 4 feet, bathes, stands tied all day, loves to be groomed, hasn’t taken a lame step since I’ve had her but selling as is. Unsure of her behavior in a herd setting but she’s currently turned out with my mini gelding with no problems. Easy keeper, barefoot with hard wonderful feet. She has a couple scars from what looks like a previous fence injury but they don’t affect her soundness, purely cosmetic. She also has an old minor soft tissue stifle injury that was rehabbed for over a year, due to that she isn’t fit for gaming or similar strenuous disciplines at this time.
She’s been an OHSET horse these last few years competing in pretty much every event, loves cows and trails. Was used to help start colts, has carried flags, doesn’t seem to be spooky at all. She can be watchy and anxious if left to sit.
Leg her up and hit the trails this summer!
Asking 8️⃣5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ but negotiable to the right home.

Meet Rascal!
Rascal is a 5 year old, 37” Shetland/Miniature horse cross. He halters, leads, loads, ties, picks up all 4 feet, stands to be saddled and bridled. Nothing much phases this little guy, he is broke to ride for the kiddos! He isn’t broke to drive but it wouldn’t take much to get him there. Rascal has been pastured with big horses, minis, goats, and a rabbit. Has been exposed to all sorts of wildlife and farming equipment. Most of his riding career has been lead line but he has ridden independently as well. Rascal has had the same owner since he was born, due to some life changes and his riders out growing him, he is looking for a new address. Rascal would greatly benefit from a dry lot, if that’s not possible he does come with a grazing muzzle. He will also come with his hoof boots.
Rascal can be mouthy on the ground but a quick correction solves the issue.

New gal on the block. This is Candy, she is a 12yr old grade mare who’s been an OHSET horse the last few years. The past year she’s been out of work following a stifle injury. She’s no longer sound for hard riding such as gaming but she’s perfectly sound for trails, pushing cows, helping start colts and w/t/c flat work. She’s perfect for lower level showing and is a get on and go type of girl!
We are super excited to have her here 🤩🐎

Kidding season started out ROUGH. Addie went into labor first and after 15 hours she delivered stillborn breech twins. They had been dead for some time already. It was a huge gut punch for our nicest doe to lose her kids. We secured a graft doeling a couple days later but grafting just isn’t going to work this time around, we were a day too late.
Next Bean went into labor and from the time she lost her mucus plug to the time her giant buckling hit the ground was a whopping 20 minutes and we all almost missed it! He weighed in at 8.38lbs! He’s pretty large considering his mom is a percentage boer who’s quite small and dad is a smaller Nigerian Dwarf!
Jill (who we expected to kid first) took her time and popped those babies out last. Jill had an adorable doeling and a buckling that’s an identical copy of her! She also waited to evict the kids until we finally went to bed and slept for 3hrs. Came out around 6:30am and her babies were already on the ground and dry 🤪.
I’m pretty relived kidding season is over, but also excited for next year 🥰

Starting my summer project search! Can pick up in mid-late June.
Ages 1-15, If over 10 must be green broke.
Mares or geldings, absolutely no stallions.
Over 13.3 hands preferred.
These horses will be for sale after training. 5 star care and will be in a professional program.
Cheaper the better but please refrain from sending me horses with aggressive tendencies, I no longer take those in. Must at least somewhat load into a trailer. MUST BE HALTER BROKE.
Looking for 2-6 horses, Junction City Oregon but willing to drive up to 4hrs IF price is low enough.
I have references if needed. PFA of some of my personal herd members.

Today was trail work day with Oliver. He handled everything wonderfully. Even the barking dogs running around and getting hit by a stick that caught my sweatshirt. This guy is NOT for sale, he’s one of our personal herd members.
He has come a long ways from the scared horse he was when he arrived here. For a good month Ollie would stand in the back corner of his stall, depressed and shaking from fear whenever he saw a person. You couldn’t halter him, or catch him and he wanted nothing to do with turnout. His confidence since then has skyrocketed. He loves turnout, eagerly eats all of his dinner and wants to engage with people. He will now stand to be groomed, stand for the farrier and wants to be a part of whatever you’re doing. He can still be a little bu**er to catch on occasion but overall is very well mannered. Proud of him!
