Sir Dottingham letting us know it’s time to wake up.
This caterpillar was running across my patio today. I’ve never seen such a fast moving caterpillar. After I stopped the video, it legit jumped into our pool. I fished it out and set it aside. Later today… I was elsewhere and saw another caterpillar (this one was tan) running across the sidewalk. Where are they in a hurry to be? Because mine hopped in the pool (and truth be told… there’s a dead caterpillar at the bottom of our pool so I don’t think they thrive there).
My Ella is almost 18 years old. Still acts like a young cat.
Alanis being walked. (Just shared - currently adoptable at Humane Society of the New Braunfels Area, Inc.)
Sweet girl Billie had the zoomies today.
Kofi’s ashes and paw print are back home. This is a video of him from circa 2015 not long after we adopted him. He was a young man (even at 8… he seemed so young compared to his final days with us). His legs were fully functional. He didn’t cough. His face wasn’t white and sunken in from the medicines. And, he still had his signature loud beagle bark. We realized a few months ago, he’d stopped barking. He ALWAYS barked when it was feeding time. And he barked at the doorbell. Then one day I guess he stopped, and we didn’t notice it because we were so focused on keeping him healthy. And I’m sure I’ve mentioned this… but, I always told Tony as annoying as it could be, we would one day miss that bark. And then it stopped while he was still with us and we didn’t even really notice. And now, all we have are the videos to remind us 🥺. Anyway, I’m glad he’s back home. We miss him terribly. Our little old gal Mitzie isn’t doing so well right now with her kidney issues. So please keep her in your thoughts. She’s my soulmate doggy and we’ve had her since 2010! She’s approximately 15+ years old. I really don’t want to say goodbye to any more pets this year. ❤️ (that other little beagle in the video was our Clementine who passed in 2017 ☹️).
This is Ginger. I love him (and his kitty siblings). Ginger has a very distinctive meow. It’s deep and gravelly and I sometimes refer to it as a “smoker’s meow.” (I grew up with smokers….don’t judge lol). He’s so sweet and I always laugh when I walk into his house and can hear his distinct meow from wherever he is. #gingercat #orangecat #meow #catsitter
Buy the cat yet another bed, and the beagle steals it once again. It literally says “kitty city” on it. 🤦🏼♀️ #beagle #beaglesofinstagram #hound #houndrescue #beaglemom

A simple task, like making coffee, takes some effort to not trip over my beagles. They are nosy little dogs and must follow us into the kitchen every time. (Their true hope is to get some food). Mitzie, my little terrier is far less concerned with my day to day tasks.
Going thru old pics and videos and came across this video of sweet boy Max who would grab his leash and “walk himself.” Loved that handsome old man. ❤️

Tony and I kept hearing this weird noise outside. We couldn’t figure it out. Luna kept going to the pool so finally I’m like it has to be something in the pool. Sure enough.. this TINY frog (toad?) was making this super loud noise lol #frog #toad #amphibians #froginthepool #whatwasthat
Update: we did scoop Mr. Frog out but he jumped right back in. He’s apparently looking for a wife. So, he’s getting evicted. A little too noisy and we wouldn’t want any tadpoles swimming around in a chlorinated pool. 🐸
