UPDATE:: our girls went to fantastic homes. Two went to homes where there was another pup from us. Not being one of six dogs and joining families with children the amount of love, attention and petting is unlimited. One, Skye, went to very good friends. Brenda Toope met her the day we brought her home and has doggie sat for us for years. Skye is now enjoying life as single dog with continuous love from her best human friend. I have had dogs all my life and it never crossed my mind that I wouldn't keep them for their lifespan. It was an extremely hard process for me but my health had to take priority. Thanks to everyone who inquired, you were all offering great homes with pups from us. I am so lucky to have so many fantastic dog families in my life. Thank you
The response has been overwhelming, I am sure that there is perfect homes for my girls. I will be looking at the messages over the next few days and get back to you.
I can't believe that I am putting this out there. I am not even sure if it is something I can follow through with. I always said "getting a puppy is a 12 to 15 year commitment". Now I might have to break that myself. For those who know me, might recall that I am allergic to animals, including my much loved dogs. I have been on inhalers, eye drops and nasal sprays for years. But in the past week I started a 4th prescribed daily med, due to a medical issue caused by my allergies. This will continue to deteriorate unless I remove the allergens such as pet dander and hair.
I have to consider rehoming my Goldens, who are a BIG part of my life, correction, are my life, so it may not be possible. If you think you can offer my girls a perfect home, please message me and we can go into more details. Oh, this DOES NOT include Jake! Lol Also hoping that Raven is hypoallergenic, so I can keep her.

One week ago Sadie's last two pups flew to NL. Those were also the last two in our care, our girls are all done breeding.
THANK YOU to all the wonderful families providing great homes to our pups over the years. It is great that we have stayed in touch. And to all the family and friends, especially Brenda, who played with the puppies to socialize them.
It was an amazing chapter in our lives.
Here are a few pictures of pups from our last litter. Some of them have a sibling from us also.

Miss Molly is the first puppy to leave our last litter!! She met Baxter this morning who is also from us. You gotta love Puppy Love!!

UPDATE: All pups have their furever homes. Thanks to all who shared. But I do know another litter who has pups available if anyone missed out on these. Jake and Mindi are pleased to let you know about some Grandpuppies that are available, mid October. They are not here with us, but are from a great family further down the south shore. I can put you in touch with them if you are interested. Let me know.

Sadie had her final litter on Monday night. She had 9 healthy puppies. These pups are special to us as they are our last litter :(

Just checking to see if there is still interested families in purchasing a Golden Retriever puppy from us. As mentioned last winter Skye, Mindi, Raven and Jake have retired. This FINAL litter would be from Sadie. She is the daughter of Jake and Mindi. We will only be breeding her if we have preapproved homes over the next couple weeks. Message us if you are interested. Puppy Love Cottages would like to thank everyone who have provided excellent homes to our puppies the past few years. But the time has come to retire the gang. Jake, Skye, Mindi and Raven have had their last litters the past few months. Sadie, who is Mindi and Jake's daughter may possibly have one more litter. I tried to get everyone in the picture but couldn't see Skye, I told everyone to stay while I walked to the side to see her better. I thought everyone would at least turn their heads for the picture. But I guess stay means stay!! Lol Thanks again everyone. Jake is sitting on his blankie, so the girls don't take it. Haha

These two little girls having their first walk in Newfoundland! Finally made it over, after a few cancelled ferries. Thanks to East Coast Pet Transportation for the excellent care you provided for them on their journey. They got use to sleeping in the bunk of a 18 wheeler!! Lol

SHE GOES TO HER FOREVER HOME ON FRIDAY!!! Thanks to everyone who inquired, it was a hard decision, so many excellent homes. Update: there have been numerous replies, so I am going to take this morning to go through the messages. I am sure her forever home will be found. Thanks to everyone who responded. This little girl has been watching her siblings leave for their new homes. She was suppose to go to hers this weekend, then the dreaded phone call came. Due to medical issues they don't feel it's a good time to bring a puppy into their home. So, she is hoping that someone is looking for a Golden Retriever to LOVE THEM for many years. Happy St. Patrick's day from Puppy Love Cottages. The pups have been very busy. Earlier in the week they had a bit of St. Patrick's day fun. Then they had a spa day with a bath, nail trimming and deworming. Then some social time, they were exhausted when done. Mid week was off to see the veterinarian. Then the first one of the litter went to her forever home, with the others leaving over the next few days. Happy for them .... sad for me.

UPDATE: Our little guy has his forever home. He is going to be joining his 2 year old full brother in a loving home. Thanks to everyone who responded.
This little guy is still looking for his forever home. He had one but due to circumstances it has to be postponed. He will be a dark red like both of his parents. Serious inquires only, please message me at Puppy Love Cottages. Thanks

What a difference 4 weeks make. Sadie's puppies are all healthy and growing fast. Still a little boy and girl looking for their forever homes. Their NL families are unable to take them.
Update, the last little girl is going to PEI to live with a full sister!!! Just the little boy looking for his forever home now.
