Meet Skittles! He was recently listed for adoption with his friend Simba but is now available by himself.

Skittles is good with other cats and is dog brother the cavoodle. He is a real smoocher who loves pats and is playful. He likes to argue back when you tell him not to do something he will meow back, but it sounds like he is doing an injured bird call when he does which he likes to do at the windows as well
If he wants your attention & you're standing next to him, he'll tap at you with his paw

Meet Simba! He was recently listed for adoption with his friend Skittles, but is now available for adoption by himself.

He's a very friendly cat who gets along with other cats and is best friends with a cavoodle. He's a real sooky boy who purr around you when he wants attention . In the mornings he will without fail purr and nudge your face to let you know its morning feed time. He is known as the blob, as he will drop anyway in all different funny positions and in your arms. Great temperament for any family and would certainly be quite comforting to someone who is lonely.

Meet Maggie! This girl has been advertised in the past and is still waiting for a family.

Maggie is described as a beautiful girl who loves to snuggle especially under blankets, she adores human attention and will roll onto her back for belly rubs. She enjoys games of tug a war, fetch and ball. This girl is a massive water baby and loves swimming especially out at the weir.

She is a very active girl who loves regular walks.

Maggie currently lives with a male giant breed male dog, but new homes with an existing dog will need to have a meet and greet. She is good with kids. Maggie is an indoor/outdoor dog and is toilet trained. She knows basic commands such as “sit, stay, lay down”.

Her owner comments “She is a very loyal and affectionate dog, she is a great companion l!”

Please note ; fulltime workers are sadly not suited to Maggie.

Mr Maverick, is now officially adopted! Well, foster failed to be exact 😉

Today our hearts broke as we saw our senior girl Amelia, over the rainbow bridge 🌈

Amelia came to us in May of 2023 after being mistaken as a victim of the Myrtleford house fire. She arrived in poor condition and was estimated to be around 12-15 years old.

In the last month, her health started declining and a few weeks ago she was rushed to the vets after she suddenly became ill. It was an unexplained illness, which left us and the vets confused.

Being an old cat, her arthritis in her back end was becoming more severe and we trialled her on an arthritis injections with hopes it would improve her mobility, unfortunately it didn’t.
Her quality of life was diminishing and with advice from our vets, we made the call that it was her time.

Her last years were filled with nothing but love, safety, a warm bed and food in her belly everyday.

This handsome man joined us recently after being found in a backyard. Unfortunately no owner has come forward so he is now part of the BSAR gang 🐾

He is a only young man and hasn’t had the best start to life. We are currently treating him for an upper respiratory infection and a broken toe.

As soon as he is healthy enough, he will be having his broken toe amputated.

P.S - We’re stuck on names and would love some suggestions! 👇🏻

If his owners had to describe Blue in a few words they would say he is endlessly smoochy,cuddly and playful. This boy just lives for his humans, so much so that he isnt the best with other cats.

Cat friendly dogs are fine. He is best suited to older kids because Blue can get too enthusiastic with play sometimes. He is litter trained

🐾 URGENT FOSTER/ADOPTIVE HOME NEEDED

Muffin was adopted in early 2022, sadly her human has had to go into a nursing home and is no longer able to care for her which leaves Muffin needing to come back to BSAR.

She is now roughly 12 years old and is a quiet, calm lady who enjoys naps and cuddles. Sadly she does not like other animals is rather nervous with young children.

Muffin is being temporarily looked after by neighbours of her owners and needs a new home/carer in the next week ideally.

Meet Miss Bonny!

This gorgeous 5 year old girl is seeking a new home through no fault of her own or her owner. Her Dad was sick and unfortunately didn't come home from hospital. Sadly, family are not in the position to be able to keep her and have made the very reluctant decision to seek a new home for her.

What we know about her:
She is microchipped, vaccinated & desexed.
She is toilet trained.
She is good with dogs HER size, but would prefer to be only dog in the household as that is what she is use to.
She is NOT good with cats, so a no cat home is a must.
She sleeps inside of a night time..your bed is her preferred option.
She has shown to be good with quiet, respectful children 5 & up.
She is use to a home where someone is home most of the time, so seeking similar home.
She loves to chill out with her people.
Bonny is located in Albury, NSW.

Approved home will have to come and meet her. She will not be put on transport.

Can you please help Gypsy? We need to find her temporary foster placement.

She is a previous BSAR dog who was adopted a few months ago, unfortunately her human has fallen unwell and their illness makes living with animal a health risk.

Gypsy is a 9 year old Bull Arab cross. Now that she is entering her ‘granny age’ she prefers lazing about and cuddles. She enjoys playing with toys, car rides and short walks. Her favourite people are children.

She prefers being an only dog. Gypsy is perfectly toilet trained.
