Godiva, our Lil package of sweetness has left us for the rainbow bridge.
Godiva was a senior cat from Sandusky who was greatly suffering from stomatitis and pillow paw (auto-immune disorder) on the streets. She couldn't properly care for herself with so much discomfort.
Upon intake she was skinny, missing most of her hair, frail with painful teeth and paws.
During her rehab we removed teeth which allowed her to enjoy eating and she blossomed.
She learned how to trust and even enjoy being held and getting kisses and became a favorite.
Being so delicate, risks of flair ups and no teeth it was determined she would remain in the Riggi home for however much time she still has to offer.
Sadly over the weekend she suffered a stroke and never regained movement.
Special thank you to Dr. Meg and her staff at The Great Life for providing all of her critical needs, recovery assistance, then providing the final act of love.

We opt for her to be cremated with a community of other animals instead of a private cremation to keep the cost at a minimum so funds may be used in her memory for ones in need.

‼️‼️UPDATE: Looks as if they raised the price within the last couple hours. Not as great of a deal now. We will leave it on the wishlist as of now incase it drops back down. Sometimes they do that to slow purchases then will drop price again when caught up.

Goat is finishing up his medical rehab and is hoping to find his own mom or dad! he LOVES being pet, brushed, food and treated like a baby! Great with dogs, good with other cats but would love to be an only child and spoiled. He is purrfect with no unwanted behavior.
Goat's vetting was around $850 due to his condition and dental. Please help cats like Goat with your donation

🟨🟨Hospice Adoption Pending (soon)🟨🟨

Crater is a senior rescued kitty that was digging at a massive tumor on his neck. Very skinny and failing to thrive, he is super grateful for the love, warmth, food, and support of the Riggi Rescue supporters that allowed him a better life for however much time he has to enjoy!
Crater had tumor removal, bloodwork and tests to check his current health for recovery and once he is a bit more healthy we will complete his routine vetting and look for him a final home (possible hospice) to be loved on for his remaining days.

We still have a large balance on our vet account THANK YOU EVERYONE who has sent donations recently, who are monthly donors, and also those who sent nutrical (we were out and Crater needed it) and food!
You are truly life savers!

💚💚WOW!! You guys really stepped up for the rehab cats! We received several tubes of nutrical and we can't express how thankful and impressed we are with our followers, YOU all are the heros!! 💚💚

We want to express how grateful we are to community cat caregivers!
Are you aware most colony cat caregivers are low income, on fixed income and/or were failed by humans and why they feel compelled to help community cats? That of course is not always the case but I can easily say in this field we see this situation 90% of the time.

Are you aware caregivers will be there to feed their colonies in ANY weather? They will find a way. They will get creative on how to keep water and food from freezing. They share their holiday turkey with them and will buy a "special" food on special occasions.
Most of the time the cats' caregiver is the closest these cats will get to know to having a family.
They gather at their feeding time/place and wait. At first glimpse of their caregiver, Tails spike in the air, biscuit factory starts and the site becomes a ballet of Tails and whiskers as the symphony of purrs and meows fill the air.
A caregiver will know EVERYTHING about each cat in their colony!
This is why it's SO important to involve caregivers in your TNR plan. There's nothing these cats love more and together you can prevent suffering and over population.
Caregivers don't want more cats to feed, they only struggle with trusting humans.
