Cleaner Wrasse
Labroides dimidiatus -The captive bred Cleaner Wrasse is a great worker fish in aquariums. They pick and clean pests and parasites off larger fish and will even create specific cleaning stations.
As wild caught this species is notoriously difficult to keep in captivity because they don't adapt well to aquarium life and they don't like to eat prepared foods, instead preferring to clean large fish. It's also difficult to know the age of a wild adult and if it is at the end of its lifespan.
Captive breeding solves these problems. Our captive wrasse eat prepared pellets like EasyReefs DKI pellets and frozen Harkai mysis foods. Being born in captivity they're well adapted to aquarium life, and we know the exact age of these young fish so they will live their full lifespan in your tank.
They do not require a sand bed, but instead create a mucus cocoon for nightly sleeping. Be sure to provide an escape-proof lid, since these fish will actively search for gaps in the aquarium's cover to jump out.

Mespilia globulus, The Blue tuxedo urchin is a ravenous herbivore. These TANK RAISED inverts make great additions to your clean up crew as they can eat both tough algae on rockwork and film algae on the glass. They tend to pick up small rocks or sand around the aquarium so make sure your frags are glued down

Tridacna derasa 4" - The derasa Clam is prized for its attractive mantle coloration and smooth white shell. Among the hardiest and most adaptable of the tridacnid clams, it is perfect for the first-time clam keeper. Unlike some tridacnids, this species is perfectly comfortable resting over the sand bed. Intense conventional reef aquarium lighting is recommended for this zooxanthellate animal. While absolutely dependent upon bright light for their survival, their growth and health may be enhanced with the regular use of live phytoplankton. These farmed specimens have a lovely blue-rimmed mantle with squiggly golden lines over a dark background.

Golden Angelfish

Sold Out

Centropyge aurantia - The Golden Angelfish is a dwarf angelfish species with a tiger stripe pattern on a bright golden orange body and a blue eye-ring. This species is not commonly seen in captivity, and wild caught specimens are delicate. Captive bred Golden Angelfish are rare and highly sought after because they are hardier and better adapted to life in captivity.
Their ideal diet should include high quality pellets like Easy Reefs DKI pellets and Masstick, Tdo pellets, frozen mysis, frozen Spirulina brine shrimp, and frozen angelfish diets containing sponge.
Captive bred Golden Angelfish when young may be kept and grown in smaller aquariums, and adult Golden Angelfish ideally should be housed in an aquarium of 55 gallons or more. This species is territorial with its own kind and other dwarf angelfish. They are reef safe with caution, as they may pick at and irritate fleshy LPS and soft corals like Xenia. Keeping them well fed decreases the risk of their picking on ornamental invertebrates.

Goldflake Angelfish

Apolemichthys xanthopunctatus - The goldflake angelfish is a “holy grail” species for many aquarists. They are adorned with shiny gold scales that glisten as they swim around your aquarium. Juveniles have a light gold body with a black mask and prominent eye spot. Adults develop deep shining gold coloration and blue lipstick and fin edges that catches actinic light just right. This species is rare in the trade due to their limited collection, so captive-bred options are always in demand.
This is one of the more "reef safe with caution" large angelfish species, but highly risk averse reefers may want to avoid them, still, since some individuals develop a taste for Zoas, LPS corals, clams, etc. as they age. Reefers report, however, that captive bred Goldflakes are even less likely to eat coral than their wild counterparts, even as adults.
Some Goldflakes can grow up to 9," so they do best in a 120 gallon or larger aquarium. These fish can become territorial as they acclimate to your aquarium, so it is important to be strategic with future inhabitants once added.
Wild caught Goldflake Angelfish are notoriously picky eaters when first introduced to a new aquarium. Captive bred Goldflakes are much easier to feed and hardier. We recommend a variety of angelfish diets which contain sponge and algae, frozen mysis, Easy Reefs DKI pellets and Masstick. Small (~1.5"+) - $500.00

Gigas Clam

$500.00 ***ON SALE $350****

Tridacna gigas - The Gigas clam is the largest bivalve in the world, growing up to several feet long in captivity. This is a rare, endangered species due to habitat loss and overfishing, and it is seldom offered in the aquarium trade. These young Gigas are sustainably cultured in Palau, and one would make an interesting pet for someone who has an aquarium large enough to house one. They have beautiful iridescent blue dots on a tan background, but their claim to fame is their astounding size as adults. They are a beautiful reef safe sessile invertebrate that is sure to be the center piece in large reef aquariums.
These clams require bright lighting, nutrients, and stable calcium and alkalinity in the aquarium to grow and thrive. Feeding on Easy reefs Easy Booster Be sure to acclimate the new clam slowly to new lighting.

Harlequin Tuskfish

$420

Choerodon fasciatus - The Harlequin tuskfish is a beautiful member of the wrasse family. These colorful and personality filled fish often become quick aquarium favorites for their outgoing behaviors. These are currently juveniles and will end up growing to a size of up to 10" so they require a larger aquarium (150G+ long term) and typically prefer aquariums with a good amount of rubble or rockwork. These juveniles are bred in Bali, but the parents are from Australian stock with more bright red coloration.
The harlequin tuskfish is not a "reef safe" fish as they tend to go after clean up crews, invertebrates, or small fish. Typically semi-aggressive in adulthood, they do best in fish only aquarium with similarly sized fish. When they reach adulthood they have vertical red-orange and white striping with hints of blue accents as well as large blue "Tusk" teeth used for crunching small invertebrates. They are feeding entirely on prepared diets and prefer a more meaty diet of frozen chopped silversides, mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, Formula 2 frozen feeds, and DKI pellets.

Tigerpyge Angelfish

Centropyge flavissima x C. eibli - The captive bred Tigerpyge angelfish is an extremely colorful and highly sought after dwarf angelfish. This naturally occurring hybrid is infrequently found in the wild, which makes it uncommon in the aquarium trade. These captive-bred Tigerpyge are better suited to life in aquariums and are raised on easy to use prepared foods from a very young age. This species is "reef safe with caution" and may pick at corals similar to other dwarf angelfish species like LPS, some soft corals, and clams.

Unless a mated pair, it's best to keep one per tank. To pair Tigerpyge, it's best to get two from the same batch so they're already familiar with one another and introduce them at the same time.

These are already eating prepared foods readily available to hobbyists like marine pellets and frozen foods. Their ideal diet should include high quality pellets like Easy Reefs DKI pellets and Masstick, frozen mysis, frozen Spirulina brine shrimp, and frozen angelfish-specific diets.
