To all my page followers: The new reptile husbandry software, that I've been working on for the past few years, has finally reached the beta stage. I'm currently looking for a limited group of dedicated keepers/breeders to help me test the app and consult on the new features that they would like to have. Snake people are most welcome, but I'm also looking for people who work with lizards, testudines and crocodilians. If you would like to be in the group, please contact me via PM.
Be ready to spend some time testing and provide feedback on a regular basis!

Meet Brontë (aka paper towel eater).
I've heard stories of chondros accidentally ingesting paper towels, but thought it would never happen to me (coz I know better). Well, this beautiful girl proved me wrong. I left her with a mouse in her tub, and 20 minutes later found her finishing the paper towel while the mouse was left untouched. Long story short, she stopped eating for about 3 months, but luckily regurged that paper towel and went to being her normal self in the end.
Do I still think that paper towels are the best substrate option for chondros? Absolutely! Will I ever leave an animal with prey on a paper towel again? Nope.

I found this old picture of my Manokwari male Pythagore, that I took the same day that I brought him home on June 1, 2012. This animal is a celebrity at my place - not only because he is gorgeous and sired 2 clutches (35 babies in total). He is the calmest and most laid-back snake that I've ever kept, yet the only chondro that has ever managed to escape from his cage - not just once, 3 times! The one who once attacked and almost tore Shaytan to pieces (who happens to be my meanest snake). Oh yeah, and he is in his 20-s :)
