This is Mani. She rode to an event with me yesterday. She slept so peacefully both ways to and from Celebration.

She never made the first peep and waited until we arrived(took an hour and a half in traffic) to find a little piece of grass to go potty.

She is an incredible dog and loved every single person and dog she met including children.

She a beautiful brindle Staffy with little petite legs and a huge loving personality.
When I returned her to the facility she didn’t want to leave my car and to say it was gut wrenching....The pain of seeing them want nothing more than to be close to someone and not be able to give them that is awful.

Mani is easy to love and bond with. She will be an amazing family dog.

Update: Freedom ride and on the way to the vet today

🚨FOSTER NEEDED FOR ELIDE🚨

We got an urgent TEXT from the supervisor in Orange County with a request to help Elide and a 5pm euthanasia deadline to get her out of the shelter today. She has a swollen right leg and subluxation on her left hip. They are unsure what happened to her but she also has an enlarged heart and lung changes.

We need a foster for her and donations to get her the diagnostics she needs to see what we need to do to help her. She is VERY sweet!!!

Even though it’s Sunday and Shelters are closed we appreciate those relationships with shelter staff and the reach out to help via text messages that show they care.

If you are in the Lakeland or St Pete/ Clearwater area and can foster please reach out!! She is too sweet to die as a statistic.

Sypsy, Jenny, and Comet!

We are looking for Fosters or Forever Homes for these adorable cattle dogs that lost their homes through no fault of their own.

Sypsy is a year and a half and just 25lbs , and Jenny and Comet are 10 months old and just a touch bigger. All are good with dogs and it’s known that Sypsy is good with cats 🐈!!

A concerned citizen reached out for help with this pathetic sweetheart. She is near Kathleen high school and has been roaming for days.
She needs immediate care.
A staff member went to find her but had no luck. If you see her please let us know, if you are able to get her, we will take her in to try to find her owner. She is beautiful and has to have a family missing her.

Cherie’s puppies are moving to gruel!!! It’s been a struggle since pulling the family from animal control but it’s straight sailing ahead for this crew! Goodbye upper respiratory and hello to being ready for forever homes in 4 weeks 💗. We can move them into foster in pairs in 3 weeks when it’s time to ween and we can focus on mom!! Let us know if you would like to short term puppy foster!

Lady C is loosing her foster home soon by no fault of her own. Her foster family is moving and she is going to miss them terribly. We hate to see her re-enter our facility after being with this amazing family. She's good with dogs and and loves everyone she meets.
If you would like to meet her to adopt or could possibly foster, please let us know.

We welcomed to the rescue today 5 little munchkins. Fred, Todd, Lindsey, John, and Lauren. Look for their adoption listings in a few weeks!

We got a call about a dog that was left on her own when her family moved without her 6 months ago and she appeared just yesterday running up with puppies following her. We learned she has been living under a porch with her puppies. They were glad to have help with the puppies that are 5 weeks old but wanted to keep mom. We do get to spay mom so that’s a huge plus! We are told the father of these puppies was a Chihuahua whom Animal Control picked up and another neighbor adopted. They just never picked up Mom.

Thank you so much to our fosters 💗 for stepping in for these puppies today that are all in need of socialization. Fosters make the world 🌎 of difference at this critical stage.

We would love to cover these six spays and neuters with donations, that total is $700 without adding in the other vetting and care. If anyone can donate it lets us continue this mission!! A share is great too if you can’t donate 🐶❤️!

A few more out of the breeding cycle in Polk is success!!

SWEET Connelly probably hasn’t had very many things all his own. He was so happy playing with his ball he insisted on keeping it in his mouth 😂 and heading to his kennel with it for safe keeping. Cooper Needs a Family!!!!😭💔 He has been in rescue for almost 2 YEARS!!!!!!! He’s losing his vision and hearing. All this dog wants to do is sit on your lap, get kisses, love and belly rubs!!!! It’s that easy!!!!! He deserves nothing but love & comfort in his senior years!!!! He is an absolutely stunning dog!!!! Gorgeous!!!!! He’s almost 9 yrs old🐾🐾🐾 (More of his smiling pics in the comments!!!) Cooper, affectionately known as Coop, King Coopa, and Keeper, is a distinguished cattle dog with a heart of gold and a voice to match. Despite his age and some physical limitations, Cooper's sweetness and exuberance light up any room he enters. This old boy has a passion for learning, and an unparalleled love for his people. Despite a rough start, being found emaciated on the side of the road, Cooper's spirit shines bright and he has healed so much in the last five months. Per his previous foster, He's a musical pup and likes to howl whenever the human kid plays her harmonica or rings her bicycle bells, which his foster family thinks is hilarious. Cooper wants nothing more than to be by your side. He's incredibly clingy and finds comfort in being close to his people, whether it's curling up on the couch together or snuggling in bed at night. That being said, Cooper spooks easily with his degenerating vision and hearing. He is on a few medications to help keep him comfortable, including eye drops and allergy pills. He is a champion when it comes to taking his meds! Cooper would do best in a home with no cats or other dogs, and older, gentle children only. He is very much a heeler, and will nip gently to show affection when he's excited. Cooper is HW+, but is being treated. He's a loyal friend who will stick by your side through thick and thin, bringing endless love and laugher. Has Been In Rescue For Over A Year!!!!!😭😭😭😭

HAS BEEN IN RESCUE FOR OVER A YEAR!!!!!!😭💔😭💔 She has Been Through So Much!!!!😭😭😭 This BEAUTIFUL girl came to us after being part of a Confiscation and Cruelty Case. She was incredibly malnourished and overall sick from mistreatment. She has been in rescue for over a year!!!!😭😭😭 She is guesstimated to be a black mouth cur mix and is only about 3-4 years old!!! We have already put her through 3 surgeries to repair her lip. It is strictly cosmetic. We will definitely try a fourth surgery if we can find her a foster or Furever Home!!!! Reese is a huge Staff favorite. She is so sweet and friendly!!!! Even after everything she has been put through, she still spreads so much joy to everyone she meets!!!! She is dog and kid friendly!!!!! She has been participating in play groups at the rescue. This girl deserves a loving and safe Furever Home!!!! We know her family is out there somewhere!!! Tundra ❤️ look how great he is looking 😍!! He is a gentle treat taker and such a sweet boy and absolutely a love muffin. We haven’t had a chance to test him with other dogs because of his hematoma healing, but it’s on the list!! We can’t wait to find this adorable guy a home!!
