I have to brag about my little Esme Iris girl for a minute. By 12.5 months old she's received her AKC Star Puppy award, her CGC (Canine Good Citizen), CGCA, & CGCU. She's so much fun to work and play with. She's the best snuggler and has a goofy side that keeps us on our toes. I adore this girl so much! 🥰

Happy 9th birthday to our sweet momma/grandma Rey of Hope! (Snow Springs Rey of Hope Von Schwarz CGC, TKI, WAC, BH, AD) She is the sweetest little lady! She still is happy, healthy, and still very active. She loves fetch and sunbathing in the yard. She's affectionate and loves her people and the other dogs. She's patient and sweet with puppies and loves to give kisses. She is intuitive and gentle, but has a goofy, playful side too. She brings joy to our life everyday. Here's to many more years with this special girl of ours. 💜

Yesterday Esme earned her Canine Good Citizen Advanced & Canine Good Citizen Urban (CGCA & CGCU) titles! We are so proud of this sweet, happy, beautiful, hard working baby girl! Don't let her serious face fool you--she's VERY proud of herself! ❤️

Happy 5th birthday to our Dixie Jane (Snow Springs Rey's Dixie Jane CA TKI BCAT SCN VHMA VSWB WAC) and her 8 D litter siblings! 🎂 That went fast! Dixie and her siblings are all ball crazy, high energy, super happy, fun, gorgeous, and maybe a little crazy at times. They've been a fun litter to watch mature. Sisters Esme and Ayla are 1 year old today! 🩷💜 How did that happen so fast? They got to meet up last weekend for a play date with momma Dixie. Ayla's mom brought presents and treats. They had so much fun together! We adore these two sweet girls! 🩷 💜 Happy birthday! 🩷💜

Mom had injections in both her knees and has therefore had to spend a lot of time elevating and resting them. Esme has taken it upon herself to be as nearby as possible to assist with knee healing. As soon as mom heads to the recliner, Esme is in her lap. Everyone needs a snuggly velcro buddy like Esme! 💜

Today dad took our Dixie Jane to the local Coursing Ability Test. Dixie had a great run and has now earned her CA title! Pending AKC approval, she's now Snow Springs Rey's Dixie Jane CA TKI BCAT SCN VHMA VSWB WAC. Honestly though, Dixie doesn't care about titles--she just LOVES to run! Way to go, Dixie and dad!

The Salt Lake Doberman Pinscher Club is hosting two spring heart clinics. All Dobermans should receive annual echo and holter testing, beginning at age two. DCM (dilated cardiomyopathy) is the #1 killer in dobermans, so regular screenings are vital. If caught early there are medications that can prolong the lives of our beloved Doberman companions. These clinics are provided at a great discount and completed by a board certified canine cardiologist. Slots fill quickly, so be sure to sign up ASAP!

Esme is experiencing her first heat cycle. She's not been a fan AT ALL! Last night I came out of my room to find her like this in the recliner. 🤣 This 100% sums up how Esme feels about becoming a woman! 😂😘
