Mamma has been yelling at Coco "There is NO rat. Bad dog." Coco has been waiting outside near the shed for the rat every night for a long time, even in the rain. Coco knows when there's a rat but Mamma can't smell it. Now Coco has killed the rat. Mamma can't say there is no rat now.

I had a nice birthday. First we went to see Aunty Nancye and her talking bird. Aunty Nancye gave me scones. Coco tried to go to the beach on her own so she had to get tied up. Then we went to Uncle Geoffrey's place. I fell in the pool and couldn't get out. Uncle Geoffrey had to save me. We went in the paddock and ran around. Coco went to the other side of the creek but she came back when Mamma did her special whistle that means "Coco come back or I'll smack you." I got a pig's ear and lots of treats and so did Coco even though it wasn't her birthday. A nice old lady brought me a whole roast pork because I'm always a good dog.
