Well, we did it. Cold and wet, but we did it. Another Run 4 Retrievers 5 K under our belt. I want to thank everyone who supported us today and especially those of you who braved the rain and ran the race.
Please give Helene Huckaba, aka Scout Huckaba your shout out and thanks. She is the best Race Chairman out there; she runs this like a well-oiled machine, and she has our gratitude.
We will see y'all next year!!

Okay guys, we are running the race. There is no severe weather, just rain. Come on out!

Everyone signed up for Run 4 Retrievers tomorrow. While we usually have a rain or shine policy, tomorrow's weather coming in is looking pretty nasty. If the storms are severe or there is lightning, Roanoke PD will not let us run.
We are monitoring the situation and if looks really bad in the morning we will cancel the race and it will go to a virtual one instead. This means you just run the race in your own time and log your results into the sign up. If you have not already picked up your race packets, we will still be at Bear Creek Running Co in Keller this evening for packet pick up. If you cannot make that and we do go virtual, we will mail you your packets.
Please watch social media for updates. We will alert everyone with a final decision by 7am tomorrow if we will run live or go virtual.
