Amazing Rescue Mission: 151 Animals Saved!
We’re thrilled to share that 69 cats and 82 dogs are being flown to their new beginnings with 5 incredible rescue groups in Washington and British Columbia! These precious souls now have a chance at a brighter future, filled with love and warmth, thanks to the compassion and dedication of everyone involved.
A huge thank-you to the phenomenal pilots, Anji Keeling and Kale Garcia, and their non-profit organization, Fetch, based in Bend, Oregon, for making this life-saving journey possible. Your efforts truly embody the spirit of hope and second chances.
An even bigger thank-you to the amazing Sharon Lohman, founder of New Beginnings, for her decades of selfless work and unwavering dedication to rescue animals. Ken came into rescue as a tiny, hissy kitten. He is now 5 months old and loves his people. He initially hisses at strangers at Atwater Petco, but scratch his back and he relaxes. Pet for awhile, and you will be able to hear his loud purr through his super-soft fur.

Thanks to the support of our community, we’ve been able to place these loving dogs with adoption centers dedicated to finding them the homes they deserve. This morning, 56 dogs and 6 cats were delivered to Washington by Wings of Rescue! 🐶🐱 We are beyond grateful for this lifesaving transport from our overcrowded Merced County Shelter to open kennels in Washington, where these pets will have the chance to find their forever homes. ❤️
A special shoutout to our good friends Kale and Anji, who couldn’t make the flight this time, but their son Tanner stepped in—keeping it all in the family! We’re so thankful for their continued support.
