With every purchase from our Shelter to Soldier collection, 15% of sales are donated to , a San Diego-based nonprofit dedicated to "Saving lives, two at a time."

Shelter to Soldier rescues shelter dogs and trains them as service dogs for veterans facing PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury, and other service-related challenges, helping to create new beginnings for both veterans and their canine companions.

Welcome to PupLid!

The idea for PupLid trucker hats came to us in 2014. We were inspired by our own dog, Buddy, who strangely enough, is terrified of the sun! Initially we bought a few dog hats to help shade his eyes from the sun. However they didn’t fit well or have a look that fit his personality. So our journey began to make a well-fitting, comfortable and cool-looking cap to give Buddy some eye protection.

For hat design, our focus is on fit, function, comfort and style. Knowing that Buddy is an active fella who loves running on the beach and chasing balls, we knew he needed a hat that would stay in place even with a lot of movement. The choice for a trucker hat style was easy since it reflects Buddy’s Southern California lifestyle. After many refinements, we came up with the well-fitting and cool-looking hat we wanted for Buddy. Buddy now gets lots of compliments on his stylish new gear, while keeping the sun out of his eyes.

After seeing how beneficial our hat is for Buddy as well as the enjoyment people get from seeing PupLid hats, we decided to make this into a product to share with other dogs. Our hat is equipped with handy features like a Velcro fastener, elastic bands and slider loops to keep the hat securely positioned for walking or running.
