Did you know? Havanese dogs are prone to tear staining due to their expressive eyes and fine facial fur. While many think it’s just aesthetic, excessive tear staining can sometimes indicate allergies, blocked tear ducts, or even diet sensitivities. A few things that help:

✔️ Filtered Water – Tap water with high mineral content can contribute to staining.
✔️ Regular Face Wiping – Use a soft, damp cloth or pet-safe wipes daily to keep their faces clean.
✔️ Balanced Diet – Some dogs react to certain ingredients in food, so a high-quality diet free from fillers can make a difference.
✔️ Vet Check – If the staining suddenly worsens, it’s worth checking for eye infections or blocked tear ducts.

Havanese are known for their beautiful coats and soulful eyes—keeping those peepers clean helps them shine even brighter! ✨🐶

This update warms my heart — from Penny’s new family in Boston! ❤️

“Just wanted you to know how amazing she’s doing!! We all love her sooo much. She’s so smart, so fun, so sweet! And she loves the snow!! ❄️ 🐾 We took her with us to my grandfather’s 100th birthday and she traveled like a champ!! Her name is now Penny, like “our lucky penny” I have to tell you I don’t know how many people have stopped me in the airport as we travel with Penny - I have given out your name, probably at least a half a dozen times! Xo”

It’s puppy pick up week at Cornerstone… and some of us are having a harder time saying goodbye than others.

Today we’re ready for one of our sweet babies to be delivered to Sacramento! It’s going to be his first big adventure — so exciting!

Rex is my BIG boy!!! You might remember seeing his pictures back at Christmas time when I called him Rudolph which didn’t fit at all… I changed his name to Rex because it suits his size and personality, which is larger than life.

Rex is a Coton — he’s confident, assertive, connective and extremely high thinking. I feel like in these pictures you can almost see his wheels turning. He’s my butter ball chunky monkey. 😝
