Oscar went home today.
Yesterday, a family with a 4.5yr old little girl that had an approved adoption app, came in to meet the kittens. The little girl walked up and while mom was crouched down to see the kittens in the bottom condo box, the little girl took one look at Oscar through the door of the top condo box and demanded she be picked up to see him. She said he was her cat. Mom tried to talk kittens and I even took them out to be seen and pet. The little girl was having none of it. She pet them but made it clear that she wanted to see Oscar. We spent 45 min talking about Oscar and the kittens. They went home and talked about it and came back today. For Oscar. Sometimes you just know when it’s right. And for this little girl, the 4 month old kittens were cute, but the large 13.6lb adult tuxedo kitty was love at first sight.

Buff the Magic Dragon attended the Halloween event today with RAIN- Rescue Animals in Need and Lee County Domestic Animal Services. She met lots of people and pets and gave away a ton of candy. Happy Halloween!

Our sweet beefy girl Reese’s is still looking for her forever home. She is fully vetted, house broken, crate trained, walks well on a leash, know basic commands, and gets along well with other dogs, most cats, and children. Tomorrow, Saturday 8/24/2024, RAIN will be at Petco (13741 S Tamiami Trail in Fort Myers) from 1-4 with adoptable cats and dogs. And to celebrate Clear the Shelters with Petco, RAIN will be sending all cats/dogs adopted from RAIN at the event tomorrow, home with a gift basket full of food, toys, dishes, and other supplies valued at over $150!

Who likes wonky kitties!? We have two kittens looking for homes from our wonky litter! Our Addams Family kitties all have some special characteristics that will make their new families love them the most! 13 weeks old and ready to go home, these sweet kitties have cerebellar hypoplasia which makes them wobble when they get excited. But they don't care! They eat/drink/use the litter box perfectly. They just won't pass sobriety check points.
