So I’m back in the middle of nowhere again and it was rather cold during the night. After the folks left, I took my poochie pal for a short wander around the pier and on to the beach…tides coming in, so will go out earlier tomorrow. Today the views were absolutely stunning, first time in ages that I’ve seen frozen sand which was glistening in the sunlight. It is so peaceful here and hopefully the beach won’t get too busy later on as the forecast is excellent until Sunday next week…imagine having the whole place to yourself…. Yesssss

This is a gentle reminder to let you know that I still have dates for house/pet sitting available for all of June up until 13th July, 22nd October until 8th November and have a provisional booking for 22nd December(2025) until 7January 2026.

Due to the fact I am unable to take pets to my own house,
I run a pet and house sitting service, which I charge £30 per day for up to 2 dogs and or cats, plus the fuel at 35p per mile to and from Kilchoan. If you are on Mull, the ferry crossings would be included as well.

If you have more pets and chickens etc, then please do not hesitate to contact me on Messenger and we can come to some amicable arrangement.

Just come in from a game of footie with the dogs…One of them is a cheat and runs away with the ball and doesn’t let you have it until HE decides 🤣 walked in the woods with them for 2.5 miles and altogether I’ve walked 7.72 miles, which is brilliant.

So went for 2 walks today, first in the woods with the dogs where we did 2.4 miles, which was good. Later on I went out minus the dogs and altogether I’ve walked 5.43 miles today. I walked along the road to see what I could find. Loads of gulls, 4 buzzards, a dead shoop (think the buzzards had been in attendance when I walked past) and a heron or two.

Hellooooo. Intermittent showers today so took the poochies along the short avenue walk…one of the dogs decided she didn’t want to walk any more, we were out for about an hour. Had a visitor today who came armed with a bacon buttie and two onions (🤣) which was really nice, thank you again Gail Davies x I’m a bit concerned that the parishioners of Ardgour have to park in the Loch but you know, if you stood further away from where I took the photo, there is a good amount of room 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The new year is just around the corner and am just reminding you of the services Ardnamurchan Pet and House Sitting provides for you should you be going away in the new year and beyond

Gorgeous sunrise this morning, so to avoid bumping into the same creepy person who was walking behind me yesterday, I left here a lot earlier and had a wonderful walk of 6 miles in amongst the intermittent showers…there were 3 other people with the same idea, but they had a dog with them and decided to go a different route so only saw them in the distance. I notice they will be planting new trees soon, as beyond the viewpoint there were lots of holes ready and several new tracks going down towards the shore. Hope they don’t close it completely whilst they plant as it’s my favourite walk around here. Came back and valeted Riley..it’s amazing how much crap you find in the dogs nether regions, eg fir cones, twigs, bts of dead bracken. His furry coat is a magnet for all types of stuff and it took rather a long time to brush him out. Both dogs are zonked out 🤣 here’s some photos.

Hi! Back on Mull again, in Tob looking after dogs and cats until 10th December then work has dried up until 15th January, when I’m back on Mull.

Weather outside is atrocious, luckily I got a 5 mile walk in whilst it was dry, had fun and games trying to get the poochies in the back of the Fox, managed better on the way home.

Went to my favourite place and after I had a bit of lunch, went to see Marilyn Laverty with her messages. Put the world to rights and then came back and got dins ready…pleased to note all furries are at home now, one a lot wetter than the rest, but at least she came home.

Really enjoyed being back, feels like it was years ago since I was last in Tob, but actually it was only 3 days ago 🤣🤣🤣😆 here’s some photos

This morning it was pissing down with rain, but by 10 the sun came out so Cuin and I went for a donder along the beach.

Penultimate day today..guess what? It was raining so in spite of that we went to Ardmore and saw the fine rain in all its glory…not that the poochies were bothered, they were having a whale of a time. I really feel for poor Seughie because Riley was being a pain in the bahookie. How I haven’t fallen over again is quite a surprise…I mean they have the whole road to horse about on and yet somehow they manage to play right in front of me and sometimes they get so involved and forget everything else and realise I’m about a mile away (slight exaggeration 🤣) and come running up behind me without a care in the world and bash into the back of my legs……🤣 needless to say, they are now crashed out as we did 4.95 miles….

Bye bye till the next time 🤪

Back to the beach…😍

That’s my boy 😍

Here’s my pal coming out of the water..he really loves going to the beach and have a job on when it’s time to go home 🤣

We found a man with a slinger and a ball…, the kind man gave me a ball which Cuin thought was fantastic….didnt allow him to play for too long, so he jumped into the sea and swam about for a bit until he found a small part of a branch floating on the incoming tide, dropped it at my feet as if to say “throw it” so thus began a new game. Didn’t do that for too long as I don’t want to damage his gammy leg all in all it was terrific fun. My new definition of joy is Cuin on this beach 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Hellooooooo. The beach was calling, still busy, but at least I got parked 🤣 tide was coming in, so Cuin had a ball collecting seaweed for me and swimming quite far out, he was in the water for three quarters of an hour, and is currently zonked on his bed.

We did venture to the beach this afternoon still full of idiots parking and driving badly but the dog had a good swim and that's the main thing
