Gorgeous sunrise this morning, so to avoid bumping into the same creepy person who was walking behind me yesterday, I left here a lot earlier and had a wonderful walk of 6 miles in amongst the intermittent showers…there were 3 other people with the same idea, but they had a dog with them and decided to go a different route so only saw them in the distance. I notice they will be planting new trees soon, as beyond the viewpoint there were lots of holes ready and several new tracks going down towards the shore. Hope they don’t close it completely whilst they plant as it’s my favourite walk around here. Came back and valeted Riley..it’s amazing how much crap you find in the dogs nether regions, eg fir cones, twigs, bts of dead bracken. His furry coat is a magnet for all types of stuff and it took rather a long time to brush him out. Both dogs are zonked out 🤣 here’s some photos.

Was lucky with the weather this morning. Left with the dogs in brilliant sunshine, did 4 miles and literally 20 minutes of getting in, it started raining… here’s today’s photos…

Hi! Back on Mull again, in Tob looking after dogs and cats until 10th December then work has dried up until 15th January, when I’m back on Mull.

Weather outside is atrocious, luckily I got a 5 mile walk in whilst it was dry, had fun and games trying to get the poochies in the back of the Fox, managed better on the way home.

Went to my favourite place and after I had a bit of lunch, went to see Marilyn Laverty with her messages. Put the world to rights and then came back and got dins ready…pleased to note all furries are at home now, one a lot wetter than the rest, but at least she came home.

Really enjoyed being back, feels like it was years ago since I was last in Tob, but actually it was only 3 days ago 🤣🤣🤣😆 here’s some photos

Hellooo am back with my 3 legged pal so went for a wander down to the beach. Cannot get over how much the sand dunes got washed away in the storm. Bright and breezy with intermittent showers and extremely mild. Loving it 😍

Good evening.

Just to let you know that currently I have no bookings from 11th December until 22nd January 2025 and if you are wanting to go away over the festive period I would consider working during this time.

Should you like me just to walk your dog I am charging £10.00 per hour, plus the petrol to and from Kilchoan at 35p per mile.

I also run a pet and house sitting service, which I charge £30 per day for up to 2 dogs and or cats, plus the fuel at 35p per mile to and from Kilchoan. If you are on Mull, the ferry crossings would be included as well.

If you have more pets and chickens etc, then please do not hesitate to contact me on Messenger and we can come to some amicable arrangement.

Thank you for reading this and hope to hear from you soon.

Said farewell to Cuin today, never goodbye as I’m back on Mull on 6th November after I’ve been to Englandshire via Edinburgh for family stuff. Because it was such a “decent” day (not much wind or rain) we went down to Calgary and he had an absolute ball. Here’s some photos and a video

Hello! I’m back on Mull. Am here for the weekend. Think I should apply for permanent residency…only kidding folks. I’m back with my 3 legged pooch and the weather is atrocious, am really hoping it clears up a bit so I can take him for a swim…

Am home now, got the 4.00 ferry and have sorted stuff out for my trip to Croig and afterwards down to Englandshire. feels like that 6 weeks just flew by… I’ve had a busy day today, I had an awful night last night, just could not sleep, in spite of the 3 purr balls lying by my side…anyway was delighted to see the sun this morning so I could change the bed etc as it looked like it was a good drying day. I had stuff to take to the tip but couldn’t get in much before 10, after which we went to the usual place, mainly to see Ardnamurchan in all its glory and to walk up to the new gate but didn’t get that far as there were signs saying work was being done so ended up doing 5.75 miles, which was good. It was so warm and there were all sorts of insects making the most of the glorious weather. I got back to the house and had lunch and then went to say bye to Marilyn Laverty and then got on the ferry. Happy to be home 🤪

Penultimate day today..guess what? It was raining so in spite of that we went to Ardmore and saw the fine rain in all its glory…not that the poochies were bothered, they were having a whale of a time. I really feel for poor Seughie because Riley was being a pain in the bahookie. How I haven’t fallen over again is quite a surprise…I mean they have the whole road to horse about on and yet somehow they manage to play right in front of me and sometimes they get so involved and forget everything else and realise I’m about a mile away (slight exaggeration 🤣) and come running up behind me without a care in the world and bash into the back of my legs……🤣 needless to say, they are now crashed out as we did 4.95 miles….

Well today wasn’t as I’d planned it, but never mind. Because it was raining earlier, I decided to wait a bit before I set off with the dogs. As I can’t speak to my Mum until 10.00 I thought I’d speak to her - that was ideal as after a lengthy conversation it had dried up - so off we went. I’m sure you will be thinking why do I go to Ardmore all the time…simple reason is you can see for miles, Ardnamurchan and the sea looks stunning in any weather and if any crap weather is on its way from east or west, then you can see it before it hits you.. didn’t get soaked but my hair has gone curly as I got rained on twice…we walked 4.10 miles and both of the boys are crashed out…. I never talk much about the cats because they are always doing their own thing until meal time and it’s a furry frenzy…then bedtime is the best..I have a race with Patty Paws as to who gets under the duvet or the right side of the bed first, the Emperor is quick to follow and then the Duchess just creeps on the bed quietly whilst the other two argue over the best spot and she ends up getting it! I will really miss all the furry beasties, all of which are so cuddly and friendly when I go home on Tuesday…

Went to Ardmore early this morning in the hope of seeing some rainbows, no such luck! It’s chilly and breezy and there was one short shower and then the sun came out. We walked for 5.37 miles today, which was good. Went to see Lilian Mackinnon for tea and a good blether, returned home to see this out of the window, so my search for rainbows wasn’t completely wasted.

Another cat who has to be the purriest cat I’ve ever met, she sleeps by my head at night… I’m really going to miss her. There’s another cat who is quite elusive, but I’ll get her photo as she’s really sweet tempered as well. I can’t believe that my job is almost done here, going home on Tuesday next week.

Though I’ve not been posting on here every day, the dogs are still getting walked. Today was no exception and we did just over 4 miles up at Ardmore. We left home just after 8.30 and got back by 11.00, the reason I left earlier was because I didn’t meet anyone on the walk and it’s so much easier and more fun for the dogs. This was the view at about 7.00 this morning and then a couple from Ardmore, where the temperature was 3 degrees and about 10 by the time we got home. The cat is my best friend, especially at night time when he sleeps leaning against my back..,,

Good evening from a still dry and sunny Tobermory. Not as warm today and managed a 5.5 mile hike with the poochies. “Busy” with people today, 8 in total, plus two in a van from the estate. Love this place. Was back home by noon, sat in the garden and fell asleep for an hour, went next door for a cuppa and a blether and that’s it. Walk was still in the shade to start off with, but after about a mile or so we were in the sunshine. Loved the cobblewebbles and have been reliably informed that white plant IS Japanese Knot W**d, two large bushes of the stuff but not too close to the road and nearer the start of the walk.
