This past spring I set out to try out a bunch of different supplements. We’ve tried some in the past, but felt it was very similar to what already was in our grain, but we did feel like something was missing. And the next problem we ran into was, everybody has the best product, most of them are endorsed by champions, and it leaves you guessing on what actually works.

Having been raised on a dairy farm by a dad who’s got a master in agriculture from Switzerland, a well taught out feeding program was always the highest priority. And we’ve had ample sales and horse people come in and be impressed what the horses looked like and often not have anything to add as to what to change but let us know what their product is.

So the only way to find out, was to get the products that were of interest and put them to the test. So we put our own money in, and tested lots of them, and Equinity came about when one of the horses won the product. Got in touch with John, and tested it on that mare and a couple of others. Fast forward to now, and this product came out above the others and we started putting more and more horses on it and have loved the result on everyone of them.

We are extremely excited to join the Equinity Team and help our horses feel their best.

The results are ample, from faster recovery after exercise or injury, the horses have had better Acuscope readings, more focus, reduced allergy symptoms and even sped up the summer sores healing, and that is just to name a few. Our horses are feeling better then ever and it was just what our feed program needed.

If you have any questions, would love to hear them from you and we may even have some samples to give out for you to try. 😉 Leave your questions in the comment below.

As the school year is starting again, I always wonder if my kids are where they should be at being homeschooled. As I really don’t have any benchmark, but then I watch them say, “Mom, watch this, he likes being stretched” . I’m thinking science may be horse anatomy this year. 😂

Sometimes what doesn’t seem like a big deal, is a huge deal. Now working this gate, it’s heavy, and it’s scary but we do it all the time off all kind of different horses. So no big deal, except for one like this one. One that you couldn’t pick something off the fence, one that someone couldn’t hand you anything especially on the right side. And to be honest, I didn’t even think of anything but that I needed to go get a cow, I did the gate like on the ones that I trust to do it all the time, and the moment didn’t hit me till after that, this mare was supposed to be scared of all of this. The excitement at the end of this video says it all. I told my daughter that I wanted to get a video of her working the cow but this here was better then anything anyone can get done on a cow.

Moral of the story

We often instill that fear into our horses. If we think about it, they will feel it. If we just go about our day, they will think it’s just normal and there’s nothing to worry about. Don’t take me wrong, this mare needs your confidence, she isn’t the kind that has it on her own, so if you fear it, she will too.

But……We often do this mistake about entering a showpen too, and the reason our horses get to be show sour. Every time we enter that showpen, our nerves are up, and our horses don’t know why. That energy transfers to them, and eventually it becomes too much for them to handle. Horses will teach us to slow down, and not worry about anything, but only if we let them.

Our team of non pros did amazing again.

In the junior

Vivian & Jamie
8th All Around
Cow 🐄 8th
Trail 8th
Pleasure 73
Also compete in the L1 Open cow and got a 3rd place.
Vivian came and spent a week and a half right before this show as Jamie had to take a trip out of town, and we got the chance to work on a few things and are excited about her wins and her future coming up for this young 3 yr old mare.

Grady & Rhea
10th All Around

This team is really coming along, this young mare is a joy to be around and very talented. So excited for their successes.

Non Pro
Grady & Ziggy
9th All Around
Trail 4th
Pleasure 74.5 6th
Hearing that the coaching he has been getting with Rhea, and being able to apply it to Ziggy, to help him have way more success with Ziggy, has been such a great thing to hear and feels like we may know what we are talking about when we are coaching. 😂

Novice
Mark & Ace
All Around 🥉
Cow 4th
Trail 🥈
Pleasure 6th
This is the best we have seen Mark compete and we kinda think it’s all about him helping us chase a cow through the mesquite and the natural trail riding on the Tuesday before the show. This may be the key to success. 🤪

Tatum & Bonita
10th All Around
Cow 70.5
Trail 9th
Pleasure 70.5
We were so glad to watch this team being consistent throughout the weekend and getting “💡 moments” to get them successful.

Kuki & Beth
11th All Around
Trail 10th

It is always a pleasure to watch Beth and Kuki compete together. They are so 🤩 and we are cheering them all the way as they are definitely the team to get it all done. The work and want is all there.

We love both of them so much. One of our OG in the barn family and one of our favorite horses (bred by the Snodgress Cattle Company) they are getting it all figured out and making it look good.

Kisses & Paige

Kisses is one mare to watch out, and an open caliber mare, and Paige is doing a fine job getting to ride her and getting some amazing rides and scores on her. We love you both.

They decided to join us for the cow and they did a phenomenal job.

Novice youth
Savanna & Rosie

These two are always a pleasure to watch

Nora & Smarty

Nora has come such a long ways, understanding the maneuvers, and applying them. We are very proud of her progress this year.

Cooper & Ally
All Around 13th
Trail 5th
Reining 8th
Pleasure 73
This team had back to back shows and we are extremely proud of them for their performance. We all know that it is not easy to show back to back, but they did phenomenal.

Lyla & Cowboy
We didn’t have the success that we have heard in the past, but watch for this team. They are figuring each other out, and they are performing better in the maneuvers than they ever did before. I have watched her stop this horse better than she ever has, the spins, transitions and the lead changes are all beautiful to watch. Little adjustments, and there is no doubt in our mind that they will be at the top.

We would like to thank each and everyone of our customer for believing and supporting us. We love what we do and you guys make it that much better.

05/08/2024

Chance did his part in the cutting too.
Alex showed 2 young 4 yr olds in the same class and BB King finished 5th and Kisses finished 7th. Proud of all these horses.

In the Non Pro. Paige & Kisses, Natalie & Peppy both finished 7th and in the 💰.
Congratulations ladies

Training/showmanship tip.

If you have heard us coach, you have heard us say “If something falls apart, or a mistake happen, move on, it’s just one little box on the judges sheet.”

But I have never seen it done so well as by our own 10 yr old daughter this morning. The mare cheated her, and she softly put her back in place, and acted like nothing ever happened and had a flawless rest of the pattern. And scored a 73.5 even with that.

Whether the judge blinked at the right time or she gained that much credit back, I don’t know as I haven’t looked at the score sheet yet. But the quicker one learns to move on in a show pen and regains that confidence, makes it super positive for that horse, one achieves a horsemanship and showmanship level that is super hard to beat.

I was beaming with pride and speechless at the same time.

02/08/2024

We had another successful show yesterday in the Open, Alex showed Jefe in the Open to a reserve 🥈Champion and Kisses had a rough start in the cow, but the best trail pattern I have seen this mare do. It was so smooth and pretty. And we will take that as a win.

In the L1 Open, Sonja took Chance, and he was Chance being himself doing great things.

Sonja and Believer also took on the pleasure just as a start to getting her back into pen in a positive way and Believer believed in herself and came out calm and collected and scored a 72.5. Super proud of this little mare.

Little late posting this, but huge congratulations to Jada, on the purchase of this sweet little mare, Freckles. Freckles is a seasoned ranch riding and ranch trail mare. Thank you Courtney for getting us try the mare and making it all so easy.

This 3 yr old Smart with Chicks gelding, aka Happy, is such a pretty mover.

28/07/2024

What a great test of your training program when you tell your 10 yr old to get the 3 yr old versatility prospect and to go gather cattle with her, but first she has to test the lope overs and she nails it with her. Beautiful Smart with Chicks filly.
