Y’all seen him being a ballerina with Savanna, but watch Dude, finished reiner, tackle the trail. This horse is going to be a jammed up VRH horse, and he’s been working buffalos like a charm. Absolutely love this horse and I think I’ll add him to my string. ;) well except if someone comes and buys him, but if you do I will be very pleased if you leave him in the barn with me. Have you heard we got the best horse show family? Come try him out!!!

We all know how cool Junior is. But I think we also know that trail gets practiced when Dad is out of town under mom supervision. If dad wins trail, it’s not him that should get the credit. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Good job Savanna making these super athletes on the cow be pretty trail horses.

Getting a horse to extend, stay in that extended trot while collecting takes a long time to achieve. Hardest part is for them to keep that rounded carriage and not pushing that nose out and getting heavy on your hands and hollow their back. Ruby is getting close to what we like to see, only need some finessing.

Can I just take a minute and mentioned how broke Savanna has gotten her spicy mare Rosie. So proud of this little lady. Hardest part is to keep that one humbled. 😉

Plastic bag to the rescue to cover up the pen so we do not get any infection in that knuckle.

What is everyone’s guess on how many plastic bags we will go through within the day. As a hint, we have already broken one. Lol. We also have to leave by 3:30 again to get back to Scottish Rite today for OT, so between 8:40 AM and 3:30 PM what’s everyone’s guesses on how many bags she will break?

I know y’all been waiting on news from our wild goofy girl. Tough as nails, she acted like she didn’t even have surgery by the time we got home. She is unhappy to have yet another splint, she’s been good at “losing” them. Before surgery, the Dr did say that there was a lot of cartilage damage in that knuckle, which means lots of uncertainties in success rate, but he was hoping to be able to clean it out and get the tendons unstuck. In the OR, he was able to bend it completely down after cleaning it.
She had OT right when she woke up, and we had a 20 degree increase in bend after surgery compared to pre surgery.
We have to try to work these fingers every hour and we have OT appointment 3 days a week for the next several weeks. When working her fingers this morning she had a lot more tendon work going on for her as she was able to bend it by herself more then she has been able to this year. Getting those tendons to glide and not stuck in the scar tissue is going to be our biggest priority.

Now I told her to go walk it off and clean the stalls. 🤣🤣
