Fur-Ever Fosters Senior Sanctuary Fur-Ever Fosters is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit senior small animal sanctuary. Licensed in Illinois.

FurEver Fosters is a non-profit, no-kill, volunteer animal welfare organization serving the states of Illinois, Michigan & Indiana. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs left homeless for whatever reason – dogs in public shelters where they are at high risk of euthanasia due to pet overpopulation, dogs given up by their owners because of difficult circumstances, and those in danger of abuse or neglect

. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Animals in our care are spayed or neutered, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. To the extent our finances allow, dogs in the greatest need take priority. We are determined to keep administrative expenses extremely low so that virtually every dollar taken in goes directly to the care of the animals. Our group remains interested in and committed to the welfare of the dog beyond the adoption process. Finally, we strive to work with area shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless pets.

It is our duty as animal advocates to inform the public of all we know when it comes to dogs we are adopting out and in this case…sharing!

Much of the information below was not relayed to me as what I shared previously about Tilly was what was actually told to me and it is my obligation to correct that mis-information.

**********

Tilly is NOT good with children and other dogs and has shown aggressiveness towards each in the past!

Tilly did not bite the baby in the home in accidental play, but did so in an aggressive manner and not on the hand, but on the childs face close to his eye where it could have cause extensive damage.

Tilly would do best in a one dog/childless home. These types if homes are very difficult to come by. To be able to say 100% that this dog will never be around small children is impossible.

Trust is everything and if I do not trust a dog around my own grandchildren I certainly will not trust that same dog around your child or any others!

So I apologize to Tilly’s actual owners and I thank the rescue who set the record straight. Please do not be angry with Tillys owners because they are thinking of more than just themselves with their decision and are possibly saving another innocent child from an attack.

Good luck in finding a home Tilly. 😔

‼️‼️ URGENT ‼️‼️

Tilly is located in Edwardsburg Michigan and time is of the essence !

“Is there anyone that you know of that would be interested in a cattle dog/red heeler? I think she is 6 years old, her name is Tilly. Her current owners have scheduled her to be put to sleep on Thursday unless they can find a new home for her. She’s a very sweet dog and well trained.”

🐾🐾RESCUE WARRIORS🐾🐾

15 puppies were brought in to a shelter this weekend (yes all same momma) and they need pulled sooner rather than later!

All have now been de-wormed and will have their 1st vaccine. They are only 5 weeks old so we really need to get them out of the shelter.

If you can take one, two…five 😏 please reach out to me a.s.a.p.

FOSTERS ALSO NEEDED!!!

Located in Central IL but I am sure we can arrage for transport!

Possible collie/terrier mix as they have fuzzy hair which I think will be medium length and not short. Currently at 5 weeks they are 3-4 lbs.

Please share if you cannot foster or take any pups.

Thank you!

On hold, looking at inquiries

Name: Cookie
Age: About 8 months
Breed: Australian Shepherd (about 20 pounds)
S*x: Female (not spayed)
Location: Overton County, TN

Cookie is a beautiful little Aussie in need of rescue/a new home. Her owner had unsuccessful surgery a year ago and is now disabled. She is unable to care for Cookie and her son works full time. They recently bought a pen for Cookie because the other dogs were leading her into the woods, and they're very much hoping that she can find the home she deserves.

Vet Info: Cookie's owner tells us Cookie has had her shots and worming, and is heartworm negative.

Dog Info: Cookie is a very friendly little girl and is good with people of all ages. She's also good with other dogs. Her owner writes, "she has not a single aggressive bone in her body. Gets along well with dogs. Has not been around cats. Great with any human." She is not possessive of toys, treats, or food.

She is not housebroken and has not yet been on a leash, but they are going to work on that. She is currently an outside dog.

Cookie appears completely blind. She was born with "small eyeballs". Her eyes also appear cloudy. Other than her vision, we're told Cookie seems healthy and eats well.

Cookie's owner is hoping Cookie can find the wonderful home she deserves! "She is so sweet."

**Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners were unable to keep them. These dogs are with their owners or in a foster home through another rescue and are not in BDRA foster homes. We do our best to screen these dogs through information provided to us, but make no guarantees regarding the information posted.**

Please email [email protected] if you are interested in Cookie.

Please know we will ask for a vet reference.

BDRA is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) charity that accepts no fees when helping individuals or other rescues. 100% of donations go directly to the care of the animals. If you'd like to help us continue our mission, please donate at: https://www.blinddogrescue.org/donate-1.

If you're looking for a cute, playful, and gentle new friend, look no further than Smidge! When we pulled Smidge from a shelter, our vets thought she might be a puggle or a boxer-bulldog mix, but her DNA test has been sent in--and you'll have to wait to find out what breed our adorable little pup is!

Smidge is an affectionate, loyal, and gentle puppy who loves to play, but also enjoys a quiet evening on the couch. She loves other dogs and does well around cats and children, but be aware: this cute pup has lots of energy!

Smidge is crate-trained, loves to sleep in her crate, and is learning how to walk on a leash and is soon to start basic training. She's had one vaccine and will have her second soon, with a third DHPP vaccine, rabies vaccine, and spay surgery to follow. Smidge would love to be your playful, loving companion, and at just $300 (which will cover vaccinations, microchip, spay at our vet and flea/tick/heartworm meds for 3 months), she's an adoptable bargain!

Smidge is located in Springfield IL

This is Zeus. He is a 1 year old neutered and vaccinated husky/blue tick coonhound mix.

Zeus was adopted from the Christian County animal shelter but because the adopters don’t care to get him the training he needs (basic obedience) or play with him they want to bring him back and have even threatened to dump him somewhere.

Now know that what you would be signing up for is a puppy-like energetic dog who would appreciate an understanding owner that won’t be such an irresponsible sack of 💩 and threat to dump him because you don’t care to invest the time Zeus needs to become a wonderful companion.

Zeus has no adoption fee and my rescue (Fur-Ever Fosters Senior Sanctuary) will provide you with a kennel, dog bed, a couple of dog toys, bag of food, a set of dog bowls, leash and martingale collar! I even have a doggie door if you have sliding door to your backyard (electronic with collar or regular.)

If you cannot adopt zeus, consider fostering him (local to Taylorville/Springfield IL only) or please share or tag someone who may be interested.

Together we can get this precious boy a home!
