Just Giants is an approved 501(c)3 not for profit dog rescue that helps giant breed dogs such as great danes, mastiffs, newfoundlands, great pyrenees, saint bernards, irish wolfhounds, and others find their forever homes. We are a volunteer, foster based rescue, with all dogs placed in loving foster homes until their forever home can be found. All potential adoptive homes will be required to fill

out an application, as well as complete a homecheck prior to being approved. All foster dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered and temperament tested prior to being available for adoption.

Our sweet Stitch had a very rough start to life, filled with challenges that left their marks on his body. Yet, his life has been forever changed for the better through the compassionate efforts of Just Giants Rescue. Though he will always bear the scars of his past, his heart is now overflowing with love and joy. The journey of foster care that Stitch experienced was long, but it has proven to be so worth it, as he blossomed in a nurturing environment.

Stitch was fortunate to be fostered by one of our dedicated directors, who provided him with an amazing and loving home. During his time there, he received the care and attention he needed to heal. When Leea, one of our directors came across an approved application for Stitch, she felt an immediate connection and knew right away that this was the perfect home for him. It was a match that would change both their lives forever.

What makes this story even more heartwarming is Stitch's new dad is a marine veteran who bravely served in Afghanistan. The connection between them is palpable; they will understand each other in a way that only those who have faced their own battles can. Stitch’s adoption is not just a new beginning for him, but also a chance for his forever dad to find companionship and healing through their shared experiences.

As a rescue organization, we are committed to supporting both dogs like Stitch and the veterans who have served our country. We have the incredible opportunity to gift one veteran an amazing dog each year, and in this case, it was a perfect opportunity for both Stitch and his new family. We are profoundly grateful for his service, and we wanted to express our appreciation by blessing him with the chance to adopt such a loving companion.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the adoptive family for opening their home and hearts to Stitch, as well as to our director for facilitating this beautiful match. This experience is a testament to the values we hold dear at Just Giants Rescue: community, support, and the transformative power of love.

In April. we were contacted by a shelter about a senior mastiff that was abandoned. We could not let him spend the rest of his days in the shelter, so we found a foster home where we could give him hospice care, thinking he was not going to be around much longer. Well...Carl is actually doing great! He may be blind and 12 years old, but this guy is still around and he is looking for a family!
Carl loves going for walks and rolling in the grass. He does great in his crate and enjoys car rides. He cannot see, but he can hear well and loves everyone he meets. He is such a happy boy and just wants some love! Carl gets along with other dogs but does not necessarily need one in his new home.

Tobias came to us from a cruelty case. He is the sweetest old man. He loves to just sit by you and get pets. He does fine being left alone, but prefers to be with people. He has done fantastic with all the people he has met. He loves the car, and every time we go outside he runs to the gate hoping for a car ride. He is very chill but does throw his weight around when he wants attention
The perfect adopter will be patient and kind. Toby will need lots of reassurance to regain his confidence and know he is safe. His would love someone who can be home with him most of the time. He seems to be ok with other dogs, but doesn't need a home with one. He is not big long periods outside, so would be happy with a short daily walk.

Just Giants lost a very special family member 3 weeks ago. His mama is an important volunteer with the rescue and is the backbone of most of our operations. Please join us in extending our heartfelt condolences to Mack's wonderful family. He will not be forgotten. 💔 Mack came into Just Giants and his foster family immediately knew that they couldn't let him go. He was the perfect fit. He was a gentle giant that loved his two little girls fiercely. In fact, his heart was so full of love that it just wasn't able to keep up. Rest in peace, Mack.
