A decade together. These last ten years have made more of an impact on my life than anyone would have possibly been able to predict. Even if I had the words to explain, it wouldn’t be enough. I say it over and over: I don’t know who I would be without her.
Thank you for being the best dog in the whole world. I owe you everything. It all started with a little puppy in a purple collar, one cold December night. Happy Gotcha Day, Jenna. I love you.

Proud of this boy, and my favorite human, and the team they are growing to be together. Gneiss is about halfway to his CH now, and even being as into dogs as I have been for my entire life, it feels surreal to type that. Little Hillary had no idea that this would be her life, and I know she would be elated if she’d had a clue. It’s awesome, and I am never not grateful.
I am thankful to have such a supportive breeder who has become a trusted friend. I am thankful to have a dog I can take anywhere to do anything. I am thankful for a partner in life who not only supported my dog show endeavors, but jumped in headfirst and is exceeding her own expectations for the journey. As I said above, it’s awesome.

Same ribbons as yesterday, under Judge Nancy Simmons, bright and early this morning for the show hosted by the Greater Sierra Vista Kennel Club. The highlight of the day was the spots getting to try FastCAT for the first time, and they LOVED it. Gneiss clocked 8.09 seconds, and Riot was 8.56 seconds for their times. Just the one run for this weekend, but we’ll try to find more opportunities in the future.
Always fun to spend a weekend at a dog show, and we’re proud and happy for our friends who earned some nice wins! I think this is our last show for 2023, but we’ll definitely get some plans together for early 2024. 🐾

Had our first day at the Coyote Classic (hosted by the Tucson Kennel Club) today, and the drizzly weather in Tucson was a surprise! (Jenna told me she’s glad I didn’t enter her in rally after all, because outdoor trials when the sky is falling are not her favorite.) 😜
The spots are showing indoors though, and we get to crate out of the elements. They both showed well this afternoon. Under Judge Timothy Catterson, Gneiss took reserve, and Riot won her class. Hoping for better ribbons tomorrow, but always grateful for another day of playing the game. 🐾
It was fun to hang out with old friends and meet some new ones. Looking forward to tomorrow. 💜
