Rehab your horse from veterinary surgery..
Often owners are sent away with the following type of guidelines…
“Walk for …. weeks, introduce …. minutes of trot by ….. week, by week …. increase trot by ….. minutes.”
Is it really that simple? Should it be just a timeline?
What about “how” we walk the horse and “how” we trot the horse to ensure the best rehab?
Too often, I see horses being exercised in the same way after veterinary intervention as they were before but generally horses need something different.
To heal, horses need to build strength in a certain way of working to ensure their future soundness and wellbeing.
🦄 Suppleness
🦄 Balance
🦄 Throughness
🦄 Relaxation
If you’re not sure on “how” to aid your horse’s recovery and wish to avoid repeating the process, be in touch for some simple guidance so we can get these horses feeling pampered 🥰
