Mecates Cathi's Custom Built with heart I build custom mecate reins, and put heart into each of them. Over 50 colors from which to chose! I offer either 8 or 12 strand, any length.

My flat-sided end knot allows the slobber strap to lie perfectly next to it, and is part of the mecate, so will never separate. My name is Cathi Bauer and I build custom ordered paracord mecates....I take pride in each mecate, and put heart into each and every one of them, with a large dose of perfectionism! With over 30 colors from which to chose, the combinations and patterns are nearly endless.

Most mecates are made 22 feet long for use with a snaffle bit and slobber straps, and 24 feet for use with a bosal. I braid my own leather poppers, and offer either black or brown.
12 strand mecates measure 1 7/8" outside circumference. Up to six colors can be combined.
8 strand mecates are smaller in diameter, and are great for smaller hands. Up to 4 colors can be used for the 8 strand. Please message me for more information, pricing, shipping dates, etc.

My Story

My name is Cathi Bauer and I build custom ordered paracord mecates....I take pride in each mecate, and put heart into each and every one of them, with a large dose of perfectionism! With over 50 colors from which to chose, the combinations and patterns are nearly endless. I offer either 8 or 12 strand, any length. Most mecates are made 22 feet long for use with a snaffle bit and slobber straps, and 24 feet for use with a bosal. I braid my own leather poppers, and offer either black or brown. 12 strand mecates offer up to six color combinations. 8 strand mecates are smaller in diameter, and are great for smaller hands. Up to 4 colors can be used for the 8 strand.

I also offer loop reins 7 to 10 feet long, with water loops to attach to slobber straps. Please message me for more information, pricing, shipping dates, etc.
